thanks guys.

Started importing the tjunctions, while it looks good the brick is turning into a bit of a nightmare, definitely needs to add some more colour.

Ran into a bit of a snag, polygon count on pipes run a bit high, so isn't included in the final model, but will be importing them in different configurations, which will allow you to design you own pipe network, instead of predefined, by me, it also means the occlusion system will make light work of them and will balance things out.

The bonus is it allows me to create a decent set of pipes of different sizes and shapes, that isn't exclusive to the content , which I think is a welcome evolution of the original idea.

Thanks !

Busy testing for alignment issues.

Next step is to add the smaller walls and platforms.I decided in keeping this simple, would have liked to do the 3 level type sewer like classic, but it becomes rather complex to place, which is not entirely user friendly.

But from what has been provided, a decent maze can be build, while the intention isn't to allow seriously large levels smaller underground sections will do the job nicely, but wouldn't stop you from creating large areas. :p

Pipes was missing a control valve.

Will also be using this vale for some doors, that can be placed on a wall somewhere

While I like the previous pipe design it has some issues with alignment, in most cases required manual placement, not too sure the store admin would have been too happy about that.Polygons were also high which posed some more issues.

Decided on the single pipe design, which ironically adds a few more designs to the mix and allows for much easier placement for the end user, also allows for more drastic polygon reduction, this entire set weighs in a 4000 polygons, All things considering much happier, although some wasted time, but best to get things right, and avoid end user frustration.

With this done, I can move back to the sewer sections, and add new goodies, and improve the overall sexiness

Thanks ! :

Side passages have been added which means you can now transverse the top levels, there is one or two more variations needed, which means smaller tunnels will interconnect other sections, Which will definitely allow for more complex system.

The usual testing and messing about to see if every thing clicks.Right amount of slider tweaks should help in getting the right scene balance.

Very nice work!

May I ask, how are the glowing effects done? Is it done by making a black and white _G.dds texture map? or is there another way for GG?

I don't get this. why do everyone still wants the conkit when we have easy level building models like this. I see not point in developing the conkit. your models does all the work make it easy to use. anyway I like this a lot and will support you hard work.

lol thanks for the vote of confidence. It remains to be seen what the conkit can and will do, in the mean time I am more than happy to fill the gap.
This year should be interesting one I have a project in mind for one of the features on the voting board, which should blow people's minds. :p

Making raised sections is fun, working with raised sections that is cylindrical with a bunch of other stuff can be a real pain. None the less some forward thinking and planning, raised section is done, which means I can add the additional level I was avoiding.

I have one more item on the list which is rather straight forward and fun to work with curves, I love planning around with deformers, makes light work of curving objects. Also a couple of variations left, and then for the nice part creating a section that will allow entrance via a large pipe.

Progress is going pretty well all things considered, new entities is getting added by the minute, and should make for a nice complex sewer/tunnel design.
Should roughly add up to about 100 or so entities, excluding scenery objects, what turned out to be a small pack is ending up to be another massive pack, choke full of goodies. One thing that I am extremely happy about is the smaller inter connecting tunnels, which expands the design 10 fold add the raised sections, and the bottom tunnel sections should increase user design another 10 fold.

Final screen for the weekend

Implementing the 3rd level at the bottom, it get seriously interesting now, super easy to assemble, but complex enough to have players running around in circles.

Well I am glad to announce the next content pack I will be working on over the next few weeks, is some thing special and some thing I have been dying to do for a while now. Will be posting some hints during the course of the project to stimulate those taste buds, but it will remain a complete surprise otherwise.

Nope it didn't bug me, it's no biggie.

That said there has been a report on two of the meshes that had inverted faces which was missed , as well as a model that accidentally didn't get approved which has now been fixed, and guys can download the new updates now, as some of them are important, for purposes of getting lost

That said on the new project front.
Been doing my research and it has been fun, been playing the games that represent the theme and game play, it was so much fun and these games have been neglected in my steam library for some time.

Have assembled over 200 in game reference pics, some odd 100 real live references, and a bunch of textures to test out different combinations, and will be playing around with them today till some thing jumps out and grabs my attention by the ears. The theme is so top secret, that if you knew I will be sending you off to the underground sewer, without breadcrumbs and my stealthily assassins short on your heels, and for good measure some giant mutant mother in law food proof rats.

Take care, you are welcome to PM me, with regards to getting info, and certain death.
