Didn't like the previous two pillar entities with the floors.Just didn't feel right, and dropped them for now, added two new pillar types, and busy working on some textures, the pillars came out the way I wanted at least.Definitely going to have a bit of trial and error working with textures and creating normals for fantasy instead of the usual photo texture uv mapping.

Ran into a problem, I like the shapes of what I was creating, but it was a bit "off" in that it didn't look too natural in that the entities needed a bit of weathering. So did some research and spent most of the weekend trying out different tool to get some idea of how to get it more natural looking without having to spend 100's of hours with vertex manipulation.

The result is staggering and less then 10 -15 minutes I was able to create some thing a little more natural and added some weather to it, I was specifically interested in this as I want to add some stone stairs often doesn't look to pretty, extra step in the workflow adds a few more polygons but worth it.

@granada

Thanks mate it strayed from the original project idea, as I have been looking at more organ rocks as well, and other goodies, so decidedly change project parameters for a more mix match of what ever fantasy entity for the day.So I think I am going to completely exclude buildings this time around, and concentrate of foliage entities, it far more needed then, buildings with EBE in the mix, and rather concentrate on EBE assets like weathering stairs, pillars, windows, crypt doors that type of things.

Polygon costs are going to be higher this time around but worth it.

Started with the first EBE Entities, will use a multilayered approach with a nice arched roof. Ideal for top down and 3rd person.

Love the column's you have created here. I had a go at the EBE, but I think that I prefer my own modeling.

Was in the mood for some thing else, I keep looking a cool scifi things and then get drawn in, might put the fantasy on the back burner it isn't exactly floating my boat right now, bit of writers block if you would, prefer to toil away at things that are working. It's not a bad thing, never have enough scifi stuff. WIll have to wait and see, but I think I will stick with scifi again while I get my fantasy ducks in a row, so thing is a miss I hate doing it but if it isn't working I need to move on, no point struggling for the next two months.

So going to work on EBE compatible and free standing scifi entities only, likely do weekly uploads instead of big chuncks.
So a compatible EBE scifi Door.

It's the art direction that is the issue and the texture creation, need a little more time as i want to do hand painted textures, but I really need a wacom tablet for that .A mouse really isn't feeling natural .

Been busy with some house repairs and general duties, so haven't been as active as would have liked, did get a model or two in between house jobs.Couple of textures done, and with EBE out and stable, I have started with light sources, so should be fun over the next couple of days Will be a mixture of scifi, modern and general light sources, definitely some thing lacking in gameguru .

These look great Wizard. I like the way that GG have made it so that when you look at light sources, you get the same effect as you would in life.

Can never have too many lights! I like the orange ones, kind of a modern steampunk style.

Will we be seeing some cube maps show up soon for things like the Stasis Scifi pack too?

I don't think I will be adding cube maps officially. The problem is lee is planning on adding probes for realtime cubemap reflections eventually, which means there will be some issues if I update. Will rather supply cubemaps unofficially if there is a reasonable demand for them.

Added another couple of light sources, planning on adding till I run out of ideas. As I said mixture of scifi and modern day, looking at animating the one on the wires so it swings about, also allow scripts to take animations frames and make a script to animate when shot at

I will be likely away for a couple of weeks, PC's motherboard croaked, meaning I have to replace the board and CPU, as it nearly impossible to get a LGA1155 motherboard locally, ebay and such do have boards but, far too risky with my post office that suck, so looking at going AMD with and APU as a Back GPU, basically performance will be the same more or less but that means close to $200 . Basically been saving up for a new GPU as my back 6870 has been doing a decent job till that failed today, taking the motherboard with it.Baked my old 570GTX again, so that is work in the mean time.

In the mean time I have quickly rebuild my trusty old Pentium dual core although I will not be able to get gameguru running on that CPU, I am still able to work with the models in the mean time, and get that ready. Pretty dismal to say the least.

Actually couriers are fine, it's the government run post office that is the issue.Couriers have their own customs clearing agents.

Order from ebay before using a forwarding address and DHL couriers 7 days later my packaged arrived. Thanks for the offer thought.I am about to toss his junk against the wall, it only has 1 gig ram, photoshop barely able to run

Still $503 I didn't have, hardware is about double the price here.

None the less, got that sorted will be replacing the board on the old PC, found some one who sells boards at $35 without the back plates, and use that as a back should any thing like this ever happen again.

Kinda sucks as I wanted to get a new graphics card this month and sort out my laptop with zif drive, among other things....

I am pretty much sorted, if you really, really, really, want to assist get some one to buy a model pack or two, or get some one involved in gameguru and spread the joy of gameguru or give a random person in the street a hug wearing the creepiest costume you can find and upload the video of that to youtube. I think that is assistance enough

Just got another lovely surprise today, they only expect to deliver the new goodies around the 11th of next months, getting fairly annoyed now.....had an opportunity to sort files , textures and delete old stuff no longer used ect.But pretty much done with that now, I think I will start count the hairs on my head.

Some thing fruitful did happen at least managed to clean out the garage, spring cleaned the whole house, and tomorrow I feel sorry for the lost gnomes in the garden and their unwanted flowers they are growing in the garden, they don't know it yet but they are about to be evicted, that is pretty much the last thing to keep busy with, then I will start counting hairs on my head, then I will move on to counting the cats hair's, if she doesn't cooperate, I have more then enough time to think about cunning ways to tied her down for expected period of time.

Which puts me 3 weeks behind schedule for the next release.

Well enjoy mate. I am busy with reloading all my software, profiles and setting up every thing the way I like it, had to do 2 gigs worth of software updates again.Pitty I couldn't use the the old windows 7 installation, as it was throwing BSOD's plus the hassle to get old drivers removed, better to do a clean install and get it over and done with.

So on Monday it's back to work, with a lot of catching up to do, still waiting on the new GPU to arrive but at least I can use the old 570GTX in the mean, as the 6870HD is toast, so at least I have a backup card now, and should have my replacement board for the old system next week so good to go.
