Just quick experimentation, Just to get some idea, and needs neater wires and a bunch of colours, but should provide some none disruptive colour additions.

Nice, this is really good background work. I have been working on things like this myself recently. I think it is one thing that is missing when items are made.

But as I said this is some great work.
HP Pavilion Laptop - AMD A8-4555M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics - 1.6GHz, 8GB Memory, Windows 10 Home, 64-bit Operating System.

I've got something to say - It's better to burn out than fade away.

Thanks mate.

Have about 40 textures now need at least another 40 for walls and floors, then some trim, then I will actually get down to using them in models. I want one epic FPS corridor pack when done.

Don't want any confusion, just so we clear, the above is just a single flat plane 2 polygon mesh, with a texture made from a 30 layer normal map. It has the impression of a high detail mesh, but it's not.

Wanted to start uploading the textures, however there is a store error resulting, in new items now being showed, under the 2D art tab which means, it isn't working correctly, uploaded this in the mean time, as a test case.So be aware, and look out for them you definitely find them handy when EBE arrives.
In special instances EBE compatible meshes will also be uploaded along with textures.
This is the new store direction I will be heading into, for the time being and getting ready for EBE, as I am not currently happy with the rendering engine, this way I can still stay productive and provide as much content for the EBE and keep users occupied as well as my self

Textures look great! Are you still working on the extra textures for your "The Base" pack?

These textures will be incorporated into the base pack, with additional meshes, however just taking a breather and expanding store content with textures first and making all the textures I will need for the base pack, due to using unique UV layouts means the textures will not be usable elsewhere, would be a shame not to allow you to use it else where especially with EBE coming out soon or later.
2D art section is now working as should so you will start seeing the new textures pop up.

Started with the scifi corridor, basically texturing as I create the content, have to texture individual parts, as normal details needs to be pretty precise. So quick example of the main pillar which will be rendered when done into a single texture. 116 polygons, normal creation is stupidly powerful to reduce polygons, just a pity Gameguru shader isn't up to the task

Hi wizard of id

Quote: "The idea for this push is so you can use low polygon flat faces , and build extremely large levels."

I have been experimenting with this for some time using one large texture sheet, building outside of GG using low polygon flat faces and importing the whole level into GG as one model. You can get large levels with very low draw calls.Hope your experiments go well .

At this point for some or other reason Gameguru is irritating me to no end, I think it's mostly due to the fact not being able to create primitives.Makes modular kits annoying as well.

I am just going to stick to the texture creation for the time being, and create the associated entities and use it with the conkit, lot less headaches to concern my self with. The main problem is trying to render and fit 18 textures on to a 2048 atlas and then having to render it with super sampling , spending hours rendering texture atlases then having to duplicate the mesh faces to build the final mesh to avoid the rendered atlas having duplicate images.

So lets just say gameguru is irritating the hell out of me.......

Not going showcase every thing, need to have some surprises when all done

Currently building a cryo chamber, Should likely take most of the day to paint all the normal detail wanted, and finally texturing it.

@granada

I am taking a different approach now, while I would prefer, providing a modular kit for assembly I decide against that, and will be adding it to the store as construction kit, with lots of entities and stuff, the draw back will be more draw calls, however the main purpose isn't exclusive to gameguru, so whoever wants the textures can do so.

However that said, this project has been in progress for nearly a month now and will likely take another month or so to complete, takes about 3 hours to paint a single normal, texture and export to the relevant format, considering all the textures will be free standing 1024 x 1024, or higher and each and every texture has been designed from the ground up, it will likely be slightly pricier then other items on the store, undecided yet on that point, but it takes ages to texture from scratch.....

That said the FPS scifi kit has been permanently been reduced
