Large assets are giving me real problems texturing wise until I can figure out how to texture a large asset and have proper glass the office buildings are on hold, my modelling skills are not the best but even I wont release a poorly textured asset I am my own worst critique, I have been honing my skills and will probably do the offices as 'modular' which I was hoping not to have to do I have promised you an office building and you will get one.

Yes all my models from now on will be PBR it is easy to convert them to DNSI just rename the textures so there is no point me doing DNSI anymore.

not sure what is going on here but I cannot get the animation right, also the texture is not transparent anymore if I use apbr_anim.fx
in this video the bookcase on the left is using apbr_anim.fx the one on the right is using apbr_basic.fx both using same texture the last frame of the animation gives a brief flicker that I cannot get rid of no matter how many frames I shave off the end except if I take off about 3 frames then there is a gap between the bookcases can anyone shine any light on any of the issues?

here is the fpe file anything obvious here?

have you changed both of the occluder and occludee fields in the options to no? That usually fixes most animation flickers for me.

There's also a line for both of those you can put in the fpe but i forget what they are.

Hi Belidos thank you for you suggestions I have posted the FPE above and yes I have turned occlusion off

I think there is more to it because this is happening in the editor

think I will try using the apbr_basic.fx shader for the animated file and see if that brings back transparency is the apbr_anim.fx just for characters or for all animated assets? there seems to be a mix of animated assets that is using both shaders

Hi Bod

yes I have tried starting at frame one if you look closely the asset jumps up rather than disappearing if I start at 1 it does not jump but it still flickers
been on this all day now I am sure its an issue with the shader I am also noticing artifacts on shadows with this version (PP2) if you turn shadows upto 100 you can see bands quite clearly i will test this on apbr_basic.fx too

I think I already know the answer to this but thought I would ask anyway

can items be pinned to other items, i.e the following video if I put things on the shelf is it possible to have those things move with the cabinet is there a way of 'pinning' those items to the cabinet ?

It can be done, Rolfy made such a script for the assets in his interactive pack.
with it, items can be placed in an animated drawer and move along with the drawer when it is opened.

Your models are very good GraPhiX.

As far as i know there's no scripting needed, it can do it by default, you just have to change some of the options, i forget which, but isimmobile needs to be off, and it needs to be dynamic for sure.

Hi Belidos, I have already tried that I may have the wrong settings but it did not work, I will try again.

there must be a way of attaching it to the bounds of the cabinet if I could find a point of reference to the shelf I could move the item but I have no clue where to start I will keep messing about, I need something like this for my elevator too
