Quick railing test.

The first entity layer is in. Now for some cool pipes and stuff, will tweak the railing some more and add a bit more rust.

Spend this week adding some more tweaks. Busy working on the top section, will be adding some fake doors. Might add a top sewer part.

Had to do a quick tweak of the normals, as there was an issue with linking the curve with main sewer having different normals, while at it want to quickly add additional main sewer sections, This one has more internal walls, going to add one without the middle section, with and without the internal walls, should add a little variance

Lol JC LEON, Good luck hope you get it sorted Thanks for the support.

In other news, adding a new part to expand the sewer with, loosely based on the cold war design, with some differences to the design, it looked great and worked well.Busy with the block out for the new part. The size as such will be different and not compatible with the coldwar parts. But that shouldn't matter as this one will have much better variations and some added parts which will make it wider then the cold war, and little more space to explore. With adding these parts I guess it isn't strictly sewers any more. Will rename as underground base or some thing. lol But should be epic none the less. .

The progress so far. Not sure about two waterways, but should make fun designs, getting from one side to the other, the symmetry in the middle is nicely broken up by the side parts which have been expanded from the original, in total 1400 units. Ceiling still needs to be tweaked a bit not entirely happy with that yet.

I had to follow your seller profile route to discover what
the current packs are all about;

Content added
The Complex Pack PBR
PBR Light Sources
Polygon Worlds Isometric Dungeon

Just thinking, Mr. id that a direct link might be more convenient to shoppers.

Actually if you look at the bottom of the package screen, there is individual links to the content that was added to the main pack, that provides information and break down of each content pack. There is more then enough information, no need to duplicate, info with links as it is already on the bottom of the page.

No need for more links.Description updated with that info in case people find it hard to navigate the site.

Just quick update.
I temporary set the yearly subscription to unavailable as I will be working on the sewer/underground project for a few weeks longer then expected, and will be greatly expanded and improved upon, for some thing really special and top secret which means screenshots will be really be sparse for the next few weeks.

Which means that the yearly subscription will move on a few weeks, and will likely be available again from November-ish. I hope

It is always fun figuring out stuff, one would think it comes naturally, but generally do quite a bit of research and experiments over a few days and takes 3 or 4 attempts to get some thing going. It is only after some frustration, that I manage to get it going.

My task for today is improving the uv mapping on the main sewer sections, it can most definitely be improved on, especially with what I have in mind for this pack, it also needs to be max ready.

Will sneak peak of max test

Rather boring update for worthwhile one, I wasn't happy with the UV map, Spend most of the day stripping the main part into various bits and pieces to improve the uv mapping, aligning the seams of the pillars makes a HUGE difference, and a vast improvement already. Going to add pieces back bit by bit and improve the uv map as we go along.

After

Testing day ! Was worth it giving the UVmap a once over, the improvements is pretty awesome and makes things neat and far more visually appealing.

Before

After

After2

Before

Quick max test to make sure it is rendering fine, it is nearly there one or two uv maps needs fixing and we should be good to start importing the assets again and move on to other stuff.

Original sewer pack. Very little of the original remains, some shapes and design ideas, the old corridors with the exception of the new main sections are being thrown out also most completely for some thing else entirely which will be started some time this week and will be a complete secret. Also this will be a fully fledged model pack again similar to that of the cold war pack.

So expect a few weeks to 2-3 months before release, it will be unrecognizable from the early video.

New addition still needs a little work and improvement, but decent enough, just not good enough.

Seems a little more detail was needed. Kinda fed up with the fence and railing, as it is awkward angles, in a round room, much, much fun was to be had, figuring that out.

Kudos to all that hard work wizard of id. Very nice architecture.
Question for ya;
You mention (it seems?) that you built a scene with GGMAX, in a pic
above- to compare to GGJr. For some reason (and in the "sneak peaks")
it seems like colors in MAX are depleted-- more gray and drab color than
regular GG. What do you think- is this something I'm just imagining?

Maybe I should ask in the MAX threads if people would show a comparison
examples of colorful objects in scenes... MAX vs GG Jr

New rendering engine, I assume some form of ambient light settings have been applied to the night scene, which is why you are getting a blueish color from max and it has a night sky.

Sneak peak, of the new sewer corridor section, quite liked the fallout 3 capitol city sewer, so used some of my own ideas as well as a few from the sewer for my design.

Still wasn't happy with the end result, so a 3rd attempt at it, one or two minor niggles I want to improve on, but the shape and texturing is pretty good to go from one area to the next.

I have been back since yesterday after a short break. Have added new parts that help break up the scene some more.

Quick experiment for the outside connection joint, with the terrain and grass mix makes for some thing cool

More detail and goodies can be added, but pretty happy the scale is pretty epic and at 2.5k polygons is rather cheap. Moving in the right direction but more can be done to improve and add more detail. I feel the pillar spacing might be a bit whack.
