Yea that effect is easily one of the most useful effects in gameguru, i used it on my star trek project to simulate being transported

If you have the latest Public Preview you have Particles

here is a Snow Particle free to use, credits go to AmenMoses for his Particle work

Just unzip the file put the folder 'weather' and its contents into \files\effectbank\particles the lua script just drop into scriptbank.

You will notice in the video I used a single entity you can copy that entity 3 or 4 times to make it snow heavier I would not do more than 4 especially if you want other particle effects, there was no hit on FPS constant 60fps any questions just post here. Enjoy

Awesome job on the blizzard effect, I'm using it in my game right now.

Couple questions,

Is there a script to stop the snow when you go into a building ? I apologies if you already made one.

And I noticed when I run in the game all the blizzard is basically behind you. Didn't know if that can be adjusted somehow.

Thanks GraPhiX and AmenMoses for all the fantastic work.

With the help of AmenMoses I have managed to recover my Piano work I lost it when my hard disk went kaput

There is a little bit of work to do to get this working as a Piano I have put instructions in the text file, it is basically a list of how many of each key you have to drop on the map for a interactive Piano (you need the same amount of keys again if you add more than one Piano) if you change the properties of the Piano and Lid to default.lua you can have just a static Piano for your level.

In the zip file I have created a demo level with the piano and all keys laid out just make sure you :

1. put the textures and model in '\Game Guru\Files\entitybank\Miscellaneous\Upright Piano'
2. scripts in '\Game Guru\Files\scriptbank\Piano' there are 3 scripts all must go here.
3. the key sounds need to go into '\Game Guru\Files\audiobank\Piano\grand'

if you follow the above convention the demo level will work.

Merry Christmas to you all From GraPhiX (Kevan) & AmenMoses

I think you need to check your settings, do you have pbr override on or off? have you tried a verify.

I have tested all the barriers and they work fine this last test was a lightmap test, unless someone else can confirm it must be a setting you have

They work for me with this stuff around them. The map file would help us figure out what may be the issue.

I have downloaded your map and it does work here and the barrier is visible and functioning.

Does your shader folder look like this and are the blob files present and the same file size as shown?

@pcs
Try another path as a test .. entitybank \ barrier \ for example
just to see if it shows up ... Three mods have now tried this with no issue and no one else has reported the issue.
Its a weird one for sure ..
