Got a nice look to it with that lighting (or flashlight).
The only thing I can see is the size of the steps are to big (if they are steps).i think it looks great.

Just as a note. I am enjoying making these Egyptian type tunnels so much I have grabbed a few hours whilst in UK (have laptop with me as cannot go without it) and have made some more models. I think I will turn it into a complete pack and put it up here for free download.

I have decided to make 50% of all the new models I make free on this thread. The other 50% will be for sale in the Store. Giving something back to the community and celebrating Lee's new release coming soon (I hope). Here's a few more I am working on. Can anyone remind me of how you put a false floor in so the player falls through it. The tunnel with the pit is for this or as a water trap.

OK here is a list so far of the models in this pack. About 45 so far but have a few more ideas to add yet. I hope to get the pack readied for uploading in around a week from this post. I will post it as one zip file so anyone interested will just need to do one download.

OK the pack is finished and ready for uploading. All I am waiting for is some kind person to put together the three scripts I talk about in the scripting forum.

EDIT. Thanks Corno_1 and warlock12 for your help on this issue.

Below are some screen grabs showing the entities in the pack (just over 100 at the time of writing although I have another few ideas). I have split them over several directories as there are quite a few.

The last screen is of the Tunnels directory.

OK I am struggling with the scripting. I gave up programming around 7 years ago and am finding it hard to get my head around it again. So I will look at that later for th 'magic' I was trying to include in the pack. With this in mind there are a couple models (flasks ETC) that do nothing.

As I want to now move on to upgrading my Sewers Pack as I have been heavily influenced by thr Stephen King latest remake of IT I will be uploading the Egyptian Pack later today. Please be aware there are over a hundred models in this pack so I have split the zip files according to directories.

I have found the best way to use the pack is to use TAB to knock off the tops and then work within the models (see below).

Although the pack is escentially an indoor environment there are models to create outside spaces. With this in mind I have made simple outsides to the tunnel models. There are also some models already in this thread that will help with these outside courtyards or whatever. There are already a great number of itams and characters in GG to set up a pretty good level or levels.

As these models really create an inside environment it is a good idea to drop the sun and surface factors and create the lighting manually but that is of course up to you.

Any ideas or suggestions or bugs regarding the pack are welcome although I am unlikely to do much more work on it as it has taken me around a month to get this far.

Feedbacks always welcome as would be screenshots of any work you do with the pack.

Hope you enjoy it.

Ken

Packs attached to this post. Please read the previous post for details. I was going to make a pdf to explain use of the traps ETC but I am sure you all know more about that sort of thing than I do.

As I said in previous post I have some work to do on a few items regarding scripting which for some reason I am struggling with. However can I thank warlock12, Corno_1, AmenMoses for their guidance.

Also can I suggest you download something like the crawlTunnel pack here which is small to see if the rest are for you. Some zip files are pretty large.

As said previously feedback would be nice.

To go with the Egyptian Tunnels Pack above I thought I would put together a piece of simple music. The idea is to make the player feel a little uncomfortable.

Thanks DaRealWAZY for the comments and welcome to GG. Perhaps you can use the Egyptian pack above to knock up some empty levels.

Can I say there are many other threads in this forum by some great artists. Check them out (amongst others)

Bod's Mods
GraPHix
Tarkus1971
Wolf
Honkeyboy
Teabone (great classic FPSC converter)
rolfy
Cosmic Prophet
and many many more.

Also check the Store for very reasonably priced 3d models by all of the above and a great deal more.

I have been checking those guys stuff out as well, I will use your Egyptian stuff for some empty levels for people to use in the future For my own personal use I do use a lot of stuff I just recently bought on the asset store but for my empty levels I am trying to give people who want to use them stuff that is available for free. I may show off levels made with premium content but won't release those levels for people to use but will guide them where to get those assets from.

Btw your sci-fi stuff looks really impressive and I really like it

I'm not sure people will want your empty levels, the whole idea is to make our own games and I'm also not sure about using free assets made by others to use and distribute in your own stuff, I would check with the contributors first.

If you're going to distribute FPM's for people to adapt, it would probably be better idea to stick with the models that come directly with GameGuru, and avoid using custom or dlc models, that way you won't have to deal with the lest knowledgeable people trying to use your levels complaining about missing models. I know it's easy enough to download those free models fro here, but it's one extra step that could make things awkward for people.

Sorry mate, i haven't had a chance yet, i've been a bit busy, and to be honest what the beta has done to the models i've been working hard on for my new project has left me not wanting to do anything in GameGuru until it's fixed. As soon as i get a chance i'll take a look and let you know what i think.

Groby ... I'll put the Egyptian kit down ... of course! But I have seen how they look in the captures and I tell you they are very good! The best of the best, is your great willingness to the community and consider that with people like you ... will never fall. I am at your disposal in what I can help ... And with respect to the style of the scifi ... I love the sobriety, cleanness and darkness that can be appreciated ... suitable for a horrific SCIFY ... Grand!
Congratulations on your work and your way of being.

grobyken, Thank you very much for the free Egyptian stuff. I was making a game all based on Egypt. I love Egypt. It's on my bucket list to go and visit some time. I was making my own assets with blender. It was a mess! I'm a pretty good artist when it comes to drawing. "But modeling" I give up. To much to learn. I ended up deleting that mess. Any way, I'm thinking of redoing that game again from scratch but using your assets with the idea's I had. Your asset's are Awesome! As soon as I can get this sci fi game out of the way. Waiting for the Dx11 update! I'm going to try the Egypt game again. Thanks

I have downloaded your Egyptian pack and really find it excellent ... textures ... design of the pieces ... I miss seeing how the polygonal is working ... (I always look for objects with low poly ... not to require the pc under GG) A big hug and sincere congratulations !!!!

PS ... What a pity ... I can not think of a good script in an ancient Egyptian atmosphere !!!! It's going to happen already hahaha
