The coming periode , i will try to make some dino animals, i love doing that sort of things so i hope you like it and stay tuned.
are there dino that you also would like to see.. let me know.
as first offcourse a large one.. the T-Rex.
allready started with it weeks ago, but now i am finally ready with texturing(painting) and bones and skin etc etc...
the photo you will see the half of the dino... i usually make them this way,( easier to make and to paint) so i get more resolution in the texture
In the 3d program, when i am ready with painting, i use a symmetry modifier, so it is a mirror image, but hey... you can not see both sides at the same time.

Picture and a video of the trex basic walking. so a lot of more work to be done...
and commentts\suggestions are always welcome.

I mean if the T-rex is better animation then any other thing I've seen then surely I'll buy but people have ridiculous price(s) for 1 model but if it's $4.50 then it'll be something I'll surely get

If you were a developer and Hired a modeller to create a T Rex for a specific game to that standard il bet you could kiss goodbye to a months salary and some .... Models on the store are really cheap and if that's under £5 its an absolute steal ..

They probably don't sell to many of these but ....

Thanks Guy's...
working hard on to adjust a earlier script i had from Smallg , but i am a bit proud that i manage to get the trex working.
not only it is working, but i also added the new sounds to the script.
The Trex now have walking, idle, attack and run sounds.
i am not a sound guy, so it was a bit fiddling to find some ( really free ) and get it right with the anims.

still some work to do on the normal map and specular, but slowly getting there...

so a update video: Trex in Game Guru:

Nice! I hope this turns into a series of models, it's about time we get some awesome quality dinosaurs! Thanks Harryweaver.

Often those "ridiculous" prices are justified if the model is of good quality. A LOT of time and effort goes into creating these assets.

Harryweaver's models are extremely well priced for the quality you'll get. In fact, that's the general thing on the GG Store. 3rd party sites are going to cost you if you don't want potato models.

Thank you Wolf and reliquia..
I also email Lee about the turning at the end of a waypoint.
i hope it is possible in the future that we can connect the end to the first waypoint..
Then the character can walk in cycles and not that weird turning at the end..

But: The Trex is available in the store now..
and on to the next Dino

Hi Harry, I've been in the wings ready to pounce and that T-Rex is mine... He looks great..

While I was there I picked up your mammoth, large spider, and the bears I just could not resit anymore..

Can't wait for the dino pack when it comes out...

can I suggest.. Triceratops and Pterodactyl for the pack..

Keep up your great work..

Thank you .
i recieved a very good update of the script from Smallg.
The turning at the end of the waypoint is now very smooth...really cool.
and the attack is a bit better..

Also add a camera shake when the trex is running at you. That can be set on or off if you don't like that.
I set it off as standard..

For all this.. Many thanks Smallg

the store is updated, so you can download it again with the new script

One of my all time favorite films and the first movie I ever seen in theatres, was Jurassic Park. Been actually working on a series of dinosaurs in 3DSMAX for the past 5 years and these already put them to shame. Wonderful work!

I'm loving it! You rock Harry!

By the way, not that you'd need it, obviously, but I think this BBC Documentary really nailed the animations. Also showcases a bunch of really cool dinosaurs.

(I've been a total dinosaur nut as a kid and this makes me happy.)
