Received! Very great pack, thank you very much!

And to all others: You have to give that one a try, really. I've been using a pro license of CrazyBump for 5 years now, but OldPMan's nice handy tool here delivers better results on textures with large-scale normal features.

Yup, it's really good, that's why we pestered him for a donate link t help get it on steam, you really don't get an idea of exactly what it's capable of until you try it, it beats many of the commercial normal mapping software hands down.

Once it's greenlit we also need to pester him to give his Dark Paint software the same kind of polish and UI and get him to greenlight that too, it's another excellent tool

Thanks for yours support !

Speaking of "DarkPaint", I'm going to transfer all its functionality to "NORMALIZATOR". I think that this will be a logical step, not to make a separate application and combine them in one.

A separate product will be a game over which I work little by little, but more on this later.

Thank you so much !
Yours support is very helpful!
Now the application is on the 45th place out of 3190 programs, (although yesterday was at 44th place). I will be grateful if you know the forums where I could be interested in people by my product.

Just a quick thought, now that you are heading towards a commercial release, it might be time to think about broadening your potential customer base, most engines don't use .X models, so it might be a good idea to add .OBJ and .FBx support, that way more people would be able to use your product, thus increasing your potential sales.

You are right, it will be a step in the right direction and I will definitely do it. Thank you for your help.

Yesterday I received a vote Lee Bamber ! A big thanks to him!

Question!
Did someone encounter an overly long generation of seamless texture?
I checked "NORMALIZATOR" on the computer at work, and creating a seamless texture took a long time, it was unbearably long. The computer is installed on Windows 10 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus is installed. The computer is very good and I think that there was a problem with Kaspersky.

In any case, I corrected this. I changed the way of generating seamless textures and changed the principle of working with memory at the same time. Now the problem is solved and within a few days I will release an update.

I've only experienced long loading times on textures that are higher than 2048x2048, the bigger they are the longer it takes, it's not so long on my main pc but on my laptops it can take a while to generate, but i think that's more a limitation with memory management than a real issue, i get the same if i load a large image in GIMP too.

seppgirty - Yes, with NORMALIZATOR you can make seamless textures.
Here's a look at the SteamGreenlight page - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=889334510

Thank you ,Belidos !
Now I understand.
Indeed through the search does not find by name.
It is necessary to first select "programs"
And then click on the right "new"
And drop out this list - http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=765&browsesort=mostrecent§ion=software&browsefilter=mostrecent&p=1

Hi !
Thank you very much for your voices!
Votes were added a lot, but for some reason the program still stands on the 29th place.
Perhaps need more votes after getting into the top 30, maybe it needs more subscribers or additions to the favorites of the voters, I do not know how it works, but I'm glad that we are confidently holding in the top 30.

Just a quick thought OldPman, you might want to ask a moderator to change the title of this thread to omit the word free, as it's now going to be purchasable on steam instead.

I could give voucher codes to my models in return for a vote to rise higher, do you think it will be right?

Hello!
First of all, many thanks to everyone who supported my project in Steam Greenlight. Now "NORMALIZATOR" is on the 9th place!
That's cool !

Next, I revised the implementation of the application, at the moment there is a big change in the work that I think will surprise you in the near future. So I greatly accelerated the generation of all types of textures. Now everything happens almost on the fly.

Thanks for the support and expect the update soon.

And I would be grateful if you can add my project favorites or your subscriptions, I think this will help my statistics and you receive news about the update in steam.

By the way, here is a link to the site of my project, do not judge strictly, I'm not a master in web design, but I try and will also be updated systematically

Hi!

I want to show the updated interface of the application and tell about new principles of its operation.
Now you can add up to 5 layers per texture channel, i.e. For normals of 5 layers, for a specular of 5 layers and for illumination and heights.
In each layer, you can add several filters and each layer can have its own image. The filters can be interchanged, i.e. Move above or below any filter (this can change the result).
You can connect several identical filters.
For example, you can turn on the "CONTRAST" filter, then turn on the "NEGATIVE" filter, then turn on the "NORMALMAP" filter and then turn on the "CONTRAST" filter and move the "NEGATIVE" filter above the first "CONTRAST" filter.
The layers can be mixed by different modes.
All this for the sake of endless variations in the result.
Each of the layers can be edited.

I also tend to think that it will not be superfluous to create a library of finished materials and presets created in the application.
While all this is still in the works, but with a new update, all the functionality will be available.

The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.

Oh i forgot to mention Oldpman, i recently found a Russian website that has been hosting gameguru, and gameguru related stuff, including some of my free models without my permission. I kicked up a fuss and threatened to have their provider take their site down and finally they removed my items, but i did notice that normalizator (i assume one of the earlier free versions you gave away) was being hosted there too, let me know and i'll pm you with a link to the page if you want to do something about it.
