I haven't taken a look at this in a while, and I just gotta say this is a fantastic piece of work! (Actually, I kinda shy away from the whole WIP thread anyway) I have only recently come up with an idea for a game that I feel motivated by, and I have been learning this whole mess (game creation) for several years! Your huge progress in a short while truly inspires me to finally put an idea to work!

i have just verified files and i think i haven't done this for a while, it found 8808 damaged (?) files and recovers now. i will try it again when it's finished but elsewhere i will backup and reinstall GG. thanks for the help i hope it will work soon.

i have made some static trees from the original trees that were dynamic and had movement. now they are stiff and save some memory. too bad i have covered the island with dynamic trees already so maybe i should change all trees manually before i send it to you. might take a little while but i had to do this anyway.

i have verfied all files. didn't work. i deleted game guru (uninstalled via steam) and did a new install. i restarted my machine. it still does not work. what can you suggest me now? all the stock weapons are not working. the knife does work btw.

As far as I know nuncio could see the guns and place them but not pick them up and see them in GameGuru.
But you can try this ...

Erase these three files in the Game Guru root folder and then do a file verify.

parentalcontrolactive.ini
parentalcontrolblacklist.ini
parentalcontrolmode.ini

Another thing to try is if you have an Nvidia card .... Make Sure the 3D settings in the Nvidia control panel are disabled ...
In looking for a solution I found if they were enabled you cannot see the guns when you pick them up ...

i do have an NVIDIA card but i can't find my 3D settings in the control panel. i will search for this now. thanks for the help

Mines windows 10 but your NVidia icon is usually down on the right somewhere if not on the desktop.

The parental files are in the Setup.ini ...you should see them with notepad

i don't have any recording software on my machine yet. i'm still searching for one that's good. when i have it i will flood you all with tons of videos from my games
okay first i will just try to explain what happens.
start testgame. everything normal. this is for old maps i did a while ago and also for a new fresh map.
i walk to the weapon that's there and the text appears as usual "press e bla bla" i press "e" and the weapon disappears as usual but it doesn't appear in my hand and not in the hud. it just disappears and the text comes "collectet weapon" as usual. when i press left mousebutton or spin mousewheel nothing happens, also when i picked up different weapons.
this happens to all stock weaponsand the grenades.
when i pick up the knife (it was in one of the last updates, it used to be in the medieval pack but now it's in "weapons" since the last update) the knife does work and also some of the medieval weapons but not all of them. the sword doesn't work.

i used to have all weapons i built most of my maps with the stock weapons and suddenly it's away.

i had to change my bios battery a few weks ago but i don't remember if this was at the same time the guns started disappearing?

i hope this is a little help.

now the colt and the uzi arw working, the rest still does not work. at least i can change my levels to just a pistol and make it run again ( i hope).

"island hopper" is cancelled but i will recycle some of the maps for a new game that will be titled "paradise rampage". this will be my final try to make a game with game guru that really works in the end. the first level is almost the same but i rebuilt it completely. here are the first screenshots. what you see will be split into at least 3 single maps to save some FPS.
i don't know if i will ever finish this game but this map is almost finished.

a new level for the hotel. outside, entrance area. this is not finished yet.

Backup, Backup, Backup, .... PR1, PR2, ....... PR10 ..... That way if anything suddenly happens you can go back to an older version ...
If the fault is still there on an older version then you know its not your maps...
