Hi,

Returing a little bit to GG classic to see what happening, and noticed that it's going to be open source and 64-bit?

So does that mean the next update of GG Classic will be 64-bit?

hmmm, unable to compile with vs2017, lots of conflications/errors etc. it's a mess.

The problem is when attempting to compile legacy 32 bit and / or 64 bit, there are too many corrupt files that can't be read, too many things missing. And too many things to recompile , directories to redirect etc... I have come close to compiling but lost interest in the end

I didn't have any major compile issues other than 'normal' ones, setting correct include folders and such and getting DirectX texlib compiled and placed in relevant folder. Though I will have already had all the SDKs needed I guess.

The code base has been cleaned up a lot - and it includes a great Dear IMGUI backend (I imagine courtesy of Preben from GG Max initial days). It is really nice, though this took a bit of work to get running properly.

The old UI was fine.

Have found some critical faults in running large levels (to do with weapon selection and post processing), though these (and potential fixes) have been reported back to TGC now.

Sneak peek of new UI (not sure if this will ever make a formal TGC release, but I think it is much better, still simple and also opens up more possibilities):

Using the Steam version of GG Classic 64bit causes mega slowdown when trying to use paint.net after quitting classic. How do I revert back to 32bit. Seems to speed up again after about 10 minutes, is classic clearing something in the background????

Be better to give us a complied version to download. And always include cybers upgrades.

That UI looks a tonne better @cybernescence - UI design is not something TGC are very good
