Wonderful work that's a huge pack! I can see the detailed thought put in the texture.
Not to take from your awesome models, still;

What are the plans for a huge decals pack? (hint-hint per last weeks MAX broadcast...)
Crucial to GG classic as well.
Some decals that are vertical and some that are flat-- IE can give some custom effects
and character to your sewers like cracks, dark weathering, rusty or white water stains, etc.
Need snow and sand and flood debris decals, some graffiti , bird gifts etc.
Need 3D wavery joint models to expand existing square flat planes into random,
naturalized connections. Example: where back road tracks meet the terrain.
These sort of things would super rock the scene! Well the bird stuff-- not so much?

It isn't some thing I enjoy doing, Unless you can render them correctly and blends well with the rest of the assets, it isn't worth classic does okay nothing special, I don't see unreal 4 level of decal blending or rendering in max. However I did mention to Lee as he did ask about it how would I employ things like dirt and stuff, and I mentioned him to a unity article showcasing painting directly to your game objects with the use of alpha mask and such, whether max is going to have some thing like that in the future is unknown at this point, but a best guess would be a hard no.

Decal rendering and such just isn't good enough with the awesome rendering max has now to make it worth the effort.Ideally you would need some thing like deferred decal rendering to make proper use of it, and as far as I know wicked engine only does forward rendering.

Wicked engine does support painting masks out of the box, I see no reason why that can't be used, instead of relying on a outdated system, half-life 2 had the ability back in 2004 to paint decals as masks and no gameguru project has even come close to that awesomeness yet.

Short story short, unless the system gets much needed TLC I don't think it is worth investing time and effort in some thing that is more then likely going to spoil a scene rather then improve it.

Not sure about all that which Wicked engine supports or no. So in my ignorant state I would say; Most of the decals that would be used to tape onto existing objects would have portions that are transparent and for certain kinds sometimes maybe 80% of the decal is transparent except for sand, dirt, snow, etc. So the blending part would maybe seem important, but the point of decals is that they are a separate entity in and of themselves-- they are foreign to the object they are placed on-- for example graffiti. Dirt, sand, gravel, snow, moss, leaves, even stains. These are foreign textures not in place next to a pristine building, aqueduct, road, etc. so blending in seems secondary if not all that important. And maybe the transparency could be partial (50%) -- is this possible because I know it's FORBIDDEN in GG modifying painted grass billboards!

You mentioned painting and I'm not surprised that they don't have the interest in creating a new painting software from scratch with precise brush controls, selection, dodge and burn, etc. So it's left to the user to take the entities and modify the textures in a dedicated tool-- a couple problems going forward; we are trying to make it easier on both TGC and GG user. Also the catch is that now you have duplicates of objects and maybe you'll never use that particular object again-- modifying textures is not as flexible as simple decals that you can place in any position and orientation and move later if you don't like it there! If Lee reads this and isn't sold on a large decal pack, I think someone else might be interested in perusing that venture! Might be worth a shot and I'd be a customer.

BTW, when you say "painted masks" in Wicked engine-- sounds very intriguing if it's what I think it is.

To be honest the method we still use is so antiquated, I have yet to see a modern game use it more then here and there.....However please note we are heading to off topic discussion so please keep it to the DLC

Hi, i bought this pack and sincerly i dont have any regret.
I had the benefit of 20% reduction for the novelty.
It's really a good pack, a plus, an essential extension for our maps with an easy labyrinth natural building and a lot of treasure and object (key, map, information, command room, creatures, possibiliy to place in)
Plus 3 levels !
It's a very good idea wich should be general in all others packs...Many time the map (when there is on included) furnished with the Pack dont place you in situation... we need them !!!
Possibility to save games...
Plus a possibility to rise speed with lower details.
I have tried all modes and even the lowest detailled is more than acceptable to play with.
Thanks for the author(s), you have made a very fine job.
It give envy to follow new packs.
I am not english so xcuse my syntax, grammary or anything else wich could occure some ununderstanding

If you mean placing objects outside of what is contain in the pack. The idea is to showcase the content found with in the pack only.

BTW there will be some fixes coming later next week, a few things that I missed, additionally The canal entity thumbnails has been updated with a Red left (L) and a Blue (R) on the thumbnail for easier selection.

It's not what i mean, just with simple entities wich are included by default in GameGuru in a little context.

For example in the Camping pack you are placed in a context of a camping place. This is very interesting and give ideas how you can place items.

Counter example, in Antique'pack, even if items are very well manufactured the feeling would have been better to see a few rooms with item placed in a context, for example in an old manor.

In your case, when i bought Sewer pack and tried a level i was immediately thinking : "Yes! This creator have done a perfect job".

When there is no scene with a pack i think "Ok this is a collection of beautiful items, fixture and so on but i dont see a global scene example"
and sometime i dont even know what usage i could do with some of them.

Other general thing : with antique's pack you dont have script to use drawer. So when you buy the pack you have to search the good script, you find several, you have to check several...you loose time and win stress, frustration... it's not obvious for a beginner like me.

It's my personnal ideas and i am a beginner in GameGuru so for experimented users my ideas could be not relevant.

Thank you for the fixes you are going to do Wizard of id.

Sigh, fixes sent off to lee, after 3 stupid attempts of not including the correct files, long long long long day, only major changes from the fixes is one or two textures bumped in resolution and two parts not originally there added, just to add tjunction variation as per screenshot.

A version for max was needed as the classic version is not compatible with max.The max version is also not compatible with classic.
