TUNTEMATON
___________________________________________

Welcome to my new project, TUNTEMATON. This game is based on classic novel The Unknown Soldier which is about Continuation War between Finland and soviet Russia in years 41-44. In those years Finland started attack on soviet landscape to reach back lands which was lost in winter war year before, this game tries to mimic the battles from the novel/movie The Unknown Soldier in an action packed third person shooter perspective.

In my own sick way i am very interested to create a working third person shooter with gameguru but everyone of us knows that the engine is not making it easy because of how hardcoded everything related to third person perspective is. I have tried this once before with my last years Independence Day project "SISU: Fight for finland" which tried to be a tactical shooter, that did not work and i have been thinking about different gameplay styles that would fit the gameguru best, and after finding out about how projectiles work with best possible angle i achieved a good cocktail by my own opinion.

What i am going to offer with this gameplay

My goal is to make perfect balance with arcade thirdperson shooting action with some basic tactics and enemy types involved, with different enemy types which are shooting different projectiles to the player i can easily create variation with sniper enemies, machine gun and rifle enemies, of course on top of that the game levels will have solid objectivies for player which are pointed to him in relevant matter (look screenshots for more information)

In short terms for perfect balance everything in the game works by projectiles, your own weapon and the enemy weapons. Thats how you get good feedback about what is hitting you and what you are hitting, of course this looks awesome too with light effects!

Hey there,
This might be a silly question but maybe ya'll can answer this. How do you keep the gun functioning going from one level into the next in 3rd person? I notice when I go from level 1 to level 2 on my game I'm creating that the gun ceases to function on level 2. Is there a way to get it functioning? Anyone else had this problem? I figure this would be the place to ask since this looks like an excellent 3rd peson shooter being made within Game Guru.

Thanks

@partymartyh

I have not encountered that problem, but make sure your both levels has third person character setup in player spawn trigger with ammo on weapons.
