many thanks BotR but really too much time consuming ...hope max will have an simplier and easily pipeline workflow than actual GG since import a custom character into GG is a pain...

since I made these videos (2016 I think), I usually now just upload an OBJ file to The Mixamo rigger and then apply animations to it., download it and import into GG using a GG default character FPE and modifying. all very easy

Hi Bored of the Rings, when you do this step, what are you changing in the fpe to get your character to work?

So in the fpe the animmax and anim0, anim1 etc params need to be mapped to your character animated frames to represent each anim set e.g.idle, walk, shoot, climb etc.

attempting to record first video today. The first vid, I will be using the original model animations and mapping those to the FPE using the animations list text file that came with the model. There will not be any audio as I have no workable headset/microphone at the moment, you will have to follow what I'm doing on screen.

got new headset to work eventually. here is a test video just showing the results of importing the FBX US Marine character using UU3D instead of 3DS MAX, changing the scale to 40.0 upon import which is exactly dead on the scale of the Masked Soldier stock GG character. I removed the gun and modified the FPE to play all frames in editor for now. For characters, a FIRESPOT bone needs to be added and rotations set correctly. You can use any modelling package to do that. If you have Animer you can add the firespot in that software and even glue a gun to see what it will look like.

Here is the video showing how you can import characters into GameGuru Classic. Here I use UU3D and the input used is an FBX file.

[update-for the FIRESPOT bone-you can use the stock characters FIRESPOT XYZ, Rot XYZ]
