RELEASE TRAILER 2023

NEW TRAILER 2022

NEW TRAILER (2021)

Edit: Now In Development for 2,5 Years!

New Screenshots:

VIDEO REVIEW (FEBRUARY 2021)

It's been a long time in the making - you probably have seen my attempts to make a post apocalyptic game in the past.
Every hour I spent in gameguru, every attempt that failed has lead me to this.
Finally, with the improvements gameguru received this year I am able to create the game I had in mind for a long time.

Let's not talk so much but let me show you what I have been doing.
This Game will launch on steam this winter (if everything goes well).

https://store.steampowered.com/app/657480/Dark_Skies_The_Nemansk_Incident/

*A hardcore shooter with unforgiving mechanics and deep atmopshere. Every step could be your last. Set in the fictional Nemansk Region in southeast of Russia, your task is to find information about a meteorite and a missing science team*

I spent many hours creating this completely from scratch.
The effort I put in was never so high in any of my projects. To start with: The Footsteps are real life recordings made by myself.
Just like in Hunted: One Step Too Far (2016) I created a whole new soundtrack entirely for the game only.
The Work on color grading and textures took a huge part of the effort but was worth it in my opinion.
The Color scheme may not be everyone's taste, but it is just the way I want it to look like.

Now that I am finally able to reveal this project you can wishlist it on steam and get a notification when it's out!
It is not comepletely done yet but I think It will be ready this winter.

Thank you for reading this and thanks to everyone who supported me with my game.

I've gotten to play the alpha versions so I can vouch for it being really good. It holds up in all areas to me

The weapons for this game are all custom at this point, texture work, even attachments I did in a 3d software ^^

The newer EAI stuff is amazing but it currently lacks in quantity.
Also, deep in the game development, I wont change the weapons now

And here is a new screenshot featuring some selfmade EBE Buildings wich turned out to be pretty decent

And thanks guys for the feedback

Wow, everything looks amazing there, nothing stands out too much and the scenario blends nicely. Really like the hands and weapon textures.

So tell us, how much of a S.T.A.L.K.E.R / METRO games fan are you ? The colour scheme and palette reminds me so much of these games. The environment reminds me of the map Limansk( and so does the name haha).

Really nice work Duchenkuke, looking forward to play this.

haha well, I have collectors editions of all stalker games and I love metro too. I am a HUGE stalker fan, played the games 100s of hours.
And thank you very much for your feedback I wanted to create a shooter that has an atmosphere like the good old stalker games.

Check out another screenshot with a silenced MP5:

Please note that I am also a music and audio producer. I create the soundtrack for the game from scratch.
Check out this example!

The color grading looks great. Well worth your time invested. I think the NPC models risk letting the rest of it down though.

I see your point, yes. I dont know why I accepted it, I was focusing on other parts of the model I guess.
I paid an artist to make these and I was quite happy with them at first.. I know youre a modeler too so I appreciate your thoughts. I will contact my guy and see what I can do. Or *we* ..

Much as i love your work, i'm going to have to agree with Errant AI here, and go further and say that i think Errant Ai was being far too nice.

I was really excited about your project when i started watching the video, then i got a quick glimpse of the NPC and just had to stop, rewind, and check.

It's hard to accept that as a finished piece. The proportions of the shoulders are all wrong, the arms have no bulk to them and are way too thin, the left arm is locked straight making the weapon point in a very strange way, and the weight painting on the joints is very poor, see how the arm pit on the right arm bunches up and raises the shoulder pulling the side of the chest out and up? That should never happen and shows that the bone has been over weighted in the area of the chest, it's also a very easy thing to fix during production, but quite hard to fix once it's completed and animated.

Overall your project looks absolutely amazing, but the NPC's really drop the final score, and it is such a glaring issue that many users will fixate on it and rate the whole project by that one character.

I'm not trying to be mean, i just don't want to see you make the mistake of thinking people won't notice and judge you on something like this, i want you to do well, you do some of the best work on here and make a great ambassador for gameguru.

not at all ! I appreciate honest feedback more than blind worshiping!
Thank you very much for the feedback, I will see what I can do!

Edit: I checked the model itself and it looks good to me! I think its just the animation that's the problem.
