Hi Guru's
I will try to explain the weird problem I have for the past 4 days.
It's kind off a long email, but please read, and advice... I feel like throw the damn thing for the 32 apartment floor....

1. I've bought a new laptop (Well not new, but another laptop with Touch Screen for my APPGameKIT apps mostly)
2. Specs: 2 x 512gb SSD harddrives (C for Operating System/Programs, D for Projects saving, Windows 7 64bit & Ultimate
see attached PNG for SPECS
Tried both the (integrated Graphics adapter/Nvideo Graphics Card) no difference.
3. When running GG it works 100%, and then all of a sudden, I realize my Hotkeys, ((E)ntity, (T)errain, B-snap, I,(R) rotate, +,-) stop working.
4. Then adding a Wireless Keyboard I restart my Laptop to detect the USB dongle, and whalla, GG is working again... Must be the laptop keyboard.... NO... few minutes later, the exact Same Problem.
5. Funny enough when running TEST Mode, the R and and + / - zoom work in F9 edit mode
6. Add a USB keyboard, (Restart my laptop in between but Didn't think about it at that Time), and again GG is working.
7. Going to bed (With GG open) and the next morning all the Shortcuts not working again. So Not my Laptop keyboard or keyboard related.
8. (In between I test all other APP I'm using, checking Shortcuts and all seems to work fine), again on GG with a problem.
9. Then I stop most of my Background APP's and to see if there is maybe a APP interfering with the Shortcuts. Still no luck.
10. I took my old Laptop, and compare the device manager to see which drivers is loaded (Matching with my old laptop)
11. In device manager, Keyboard is Standard PS/2 Keyboard. (The same as my old Laptop).
12. Next logic is the driver could be corrupt, so I uninstall the Driver, Restart the laptop, and Whalla, GG working again... for a few minute and the problem is back.
13. Do the step again, Delete Keyboard Driver, Restart and for a few minutes GG is working perfect, and then stop responding with Shortcuts.
14. I then thought it might be the Assets I'm busy creating for GG, that is wrong, or FPE , .x file something don't work, so I start testing with other assets and the same problem occur.
15. Deleting the driver and restart work every time, but only for a few minutes.. but it's irritating and a waste of time

I can't pin-point a what stage it happen, or how long when I'm using GG... but it happen...

I've tried what I could think could be wrong, and no success.
Please (I can't upgrade to Window 10 Now), So that suggestion won't work now.. I need to get it sorted somehow on Windows 7

Thanks Guys, for your time reading... and suggestions...

Just a basic check, you haven't been pressing your numlock have you? Numlock toggles shortcut keys on and off.

Primary Desktop:

Secondary Desktop:

Belidos,
Thanks for the Tip, but I don't have a Numlock or Numeric Keypad. Only the blue Fn
I will also test with the wireless and USB keyboard connected

But I will test with the Fn and Fn keys. Maybe one turn it off...

Since my post and now, I've been restart 3 times already, that it just stop working...

I've done a recording with my phone.
1. Restart the Laptop
2. Open GG Time 11:57 (Video 1)
3. Add a small mountain and Cabinet, and it is working
4. Keep GG open
5. check rotation and +/- zoom in intervals
6. 1:07 it stopped (Video 2)
1 hour 10 minutes for today, sometimes it happen earlier, less than 30 minutes while working

I press the keys hard on purpose , but got really frustrated in video 2

When this happend, I check other programs I use hotkeys, CorelDraw, Blender, Sketchup, Wechat and all work still fine

This time I only restart my Laptop, without deleting the keyboard driver, and when running GG it work fine again

@Bored of the Rings

No Bios update done, but all other drivers up to date.

Just weird that it only in GG that the keyboard getting non responsive....
If its drivers, then more programs need to act strange when doing keystrokes/keypresses

please bear in mind GG uses directx input meaning it uses directx as the keyboard mapping make sure your DX is upto date run DXdiag and check everything is ok,

I would at least make sure windows 7 is up to date if you are not upgrading to win10

DirectX 11.1 is supported in Windows 10 and Windows 8. Windows 7 (SP1) is supported as well but only after installing the Platform Update for Windows 7.

Okay reported this bug to lee before.Only solution I found that works is to simply reboot the computer.I got this problem from time to time the USB port the keyboard is attached to stops responding or for whatever reason stops working briefly.

It is a specific issue related to gameguru, nothing to do with you computer or software or windows, it is definitely a bug within gameguru code.

Will email lee again

Is there already an issue created in the issues tracker for this, or should I create one?

To be fair, it's there have been a few people reporting it, but it's so rare to happen that it must be something to do with certain configurations of components and software, and when it's that uncommon it's almost impossible to replicate, so it feels like it almost has to be something configured wrong at the users end, i even thought that until it happened on my new laptop.

Just a quick question, do you by chance have the Nvidia GPU activity app in your task bar (in the bit where your volume and other stuff is), the only software i can see different in this laptop compared to my desktops and previous laptop is that i have that running because of the dual GPU in this laptop, i was wondering if it might be that causing conflicts.
