In my own Github branch, I've added, as a tester / trial and mainly to work with my FPSC 2 GG level porter code, both Hurt/Heal zones. Is this generally a good or terrible idea? Graphics subject to change. Or does anyone want to see more / other marker / zones entities?

How did you get them to show in the markers tab? The ones i have created myself won't show in the markers tab and have to be used from the entity tab

Ah you have to actually mod gameguru at its source to add extras in, such a shame it would be nice if modellers could just make their own and drop them in the _markers folder.

Personally, I think we should open up the marker tab options to read out from FPE so that we can create our own custom ones. For instance, I'm using the first person 3D arrow instead of the hard to select 2D GG one. It works great but shows up in entities even though it has the ismarker = 1 property.

If someone wants to tackle that one that would be awesome...

Hurt zone can come in handy when you want to delimit an area instead of using a lot of invisible walls.

@ Bored of the Rings
Does GG code moves to VS2017?
In my firts try with VS2015 I've got some XP compatibility issue when tried to build the solution.

@3com-I've never used 2015 with the GG source code, always used 2017 but works well in 2017. I'm actually installing vs2019 on my new laptop to see if it works with that version. So not sure what XP incompatibilities there are, so not sure I can help. XP is pretty much defunct and unsafe to use these days, but still one of my favourite Windows OS versions.

@3Com - I have windows 10 64bit and installed VS2017 Enterprise Edition, dont see why it shouldn't work on professional version.

@Bored of the Rings I think this is a great idea. I was working on the same idea for my game as well. I just don"t know why Lee did not put the hurt zone in game guru already. I mean as was working on this I look back at the fpsc and notice these zones. there's a lot of things I question about game guru when comparing it to fpsc and fpsc x10. Most of these basic features should already be in game guru.

Hurt zone is actually already there, or at least some how its there in my scriptbank. For the heal zone sometime ago i did a fix on github to prevent it from healing beyond the max health. That change seems to have been reverted.

@ALL : Before BOTR left the community, he checked in these cool features so I have merged them into the master trunk. The next beta build in June will feature Heal and Hurt Zones

I've not checked, but i hope those heal zones are not extending past the maximum health? I did a fix on github a while back to fix this with some items and for the heal zone script. It was added to the master and later on reverted due to a DLC update according to Evan. Not sure if that was corrected.

@Teabone - I can confirm the heal zone does not cause going over maximum health (just tested out in my GitHub branch of June Update). The lua code is the same as you posted above. In screenshot below, I used decal to show zone boundary.

Awesome! Glad my bit was kept in there. I like this addition your making if it can show up as a marker much less work sifting through the script bank folder.
