Hi guys, today i've received an email from Google in which they advised me to download all the files and pictures before March 31 because the servise will be ended for consumers.
I did not have much on google drive apart from some files which i had shared here on the forum so i have cleaned it.

But i'm curious if there are alternatives, if not free, paid storage wich i can use so i can share these old files and possible new files.

I received a similar e-mail from Google, but it stated that this only applied to things on Google Plus, which was their service that was similar to Facebook. I think everything on Google drive, which comes with any G-mail account should be okay. I also just checked my G-mail account and it didn't receive any messages about the Google drive account that is attached to that G-mail account. So, I think this issue only pertains to Google Plus accounts.

I believe they ceased support of the desktop app for Mac and Windows about this time last year, but that's only an issue if you sync files with your Google Drive account using the app. If you're just using Google Drive through your browser, this shouldn't effect you.

I'm contracted to a large well known pharma company and if that were true about google drive, they would be in very big trouble. I also use google drive and btcloud. you should be ok, I've not heard anything about google drive service closing to customers and certainly not had any email from them. I would disregard it, sounds like nonsense to me.

I received the same e-mail today too. Google is closing down Google+ because it got breached and users' info were leaked last year. The e-mail says you to back up the images and videos from G+. Google Drive would be ok.

Thanks for the answer guys, so i'll wait and see if google drive is still an option for consumers then.
It was indeed about Google+ but i thought it would affect google drive too.
