Hello everyone. I just wanted to see if there was any other way to go about doing this? I import a built FPSC game universe.dbo into Fragmotion then export that to GG. It sounds simple, but I have to do this for every single piece of the room I'm trying to make. I had purchased the Welder apps for GG, but my file links no longer work and I cannot seem to get a hold of BOTR, especially now that he has left the community. Anyone have the latest version of the Welder apps that wouldn't mind emailing them to me? I'm just at a dead end here...

If you try to import too big a section in to fragmotion you will get the 65555 error too many vertex,
trust me i know it has append to me on many models I have done. BOTR has stopped support for
the apps now, that is why the links are dead.

I have the app but but without BOTR permission to pass it on I'm unable to give it to you.

Not sure if i get your point, u wanna use fpsc segments in GG or import a whole room made with fpsc segments into GG?For the last one i have no clue.I think u can use x9 segments in GG as normal enteties, just copy the x.files, textures and the FPE into your gg entity folder.
Make sure the FPE is in the same format, otherwise it will be not work.

No easier way then how you are doing it. But size and polygons counts are limited as stated above.

SegAutoWelder3.5.7
SegAutoWelder3.6

Both are not the free version m8 unless you wish me to share the last version let me know

unfortunately, only the free version works with latest version of GameGuru PBR. One moment, I'll see if i can post new link for the app. Only on my laptop at the moment.

yes of course. and other tools also e.g. FPI to LUA converter etc. on way out now but will do all this later.

just tested it and its stuck on importing universe dbo.. m8
I am only testing a small level, it loads in 5 seconds in the none free version.

ok, found the culprit code and removed. just testing and will upload link shortly.

[update:fpsc level import now working ok and tested in GameGuru-see pic below. segments disabled temp code to be removed]

new link to SegAutoWelder. This free version only works with the latest GameGuru Version. All textures now have _D.png added so segments/levels/prefabs show in the GG editor/testmode.

Errrrr YUP! YUP! Yup! that works mush faster also to load a level Bored of the Rings great work m8 thank you.

/EDIT just done a new test and it no longer ouputs the entities door frame, only the hole
on some, and if it does output the frame it is in the same texture as the walls.




Now on a query regarding FPSC Doors & Windows punches but also apples for your segautopunch tool,
I have noticed that once you punch the hole through the mesh, lets say a Door the mesh gets twisted
out of shape. see video


This is the result once textured in game


anyway to fix this without having to fix all the mesh on every door and window?
I tried to fix manually in blender but once you output the new obj or fbx then convert in
fragmotion the mesh looses all its previous Limb Assignments and misses some also.

Keep in mind that despite the incredibly simple appearance, a FPSC level made out of segments can have easily 40 000 Polygons and more.

@Wolf, I understand that m8, just wondering if there was a way to fix the segautopunch tool, so that way that section
could be used to replace the wall section from the FPSC Level Build Segment.

oddly enough, I'm just looking into writing my own poly reducer. I'll see if I can do anything with the punch tool.

well it's something I've wanted to do for a while now, but finding time is just almost impossible. anyway, I've started some initial tester code and if it works fairly well, I might post some before and after pics. This is something where I want to get the code to it's optimum level. some careful planning and execution.
