That is the app gamekit studio, featuring the vulcan renderer. Not out yet for public, just beta version right now.

If you code everything yourself, you can have the best lightning effects in your game!
Also this is just a showcase, maybe from a professional designer, with static entities, no scripts, no sounds, just high quality shaders and models.
Unreal/unity/cryengine did the same with their demos. Just google it. And I never saw any games looking like these tech demos...

A while back there was a thread about what people would have done with GG had they been Lee, it was back when Lee announced the DX11 updates. I made a comment basically saying I would have gone down the Vulkan route, now you know why.
Been there, done that, got all the T-Shirts!

The demo is running at 500 fps on a 1070, no tricks, also notice when you look through glass, and the particles.

And sure GameGuru Loader will support Vulkan

That is stunning - I’m in

Will pre order today, can’t wait to give that a go and if GG loader will also still allow me to port level design in that’s going to give a great head start on some ideas I’ve got.

Brilliant work - I take it you’ve had a lot to do with the AGK studio development?

Cheers.

Wow , supercool ,
another new , unfinished , alpha , beta game making engine from Game Guru Store.
Looks pretty amazing so far , great graphics and seems to run very smooth.
Better than Game Guru already it seems.
But , maybe this time , I'm gonna wait and see where Game Guru ends up instead of
investing in the new , new ,new ,new , new kid on the block just to maybe soon find out. ...again...
that the old kid is slowly going to be abandoned through attrition .
Hoping this time will be different though compared to..
Dark Basic
Dark Basic Classic
Dark Basic Pro
Dark Game Studio
DarkGDK
Dark Edit
Dark Matter
Dark Voices
Dark Shader
Tree Magic
Plant Life
Cartography Shop
FPS Creator
FPS Creator X10
Etc......
That I have invested wholeheartedly in over the past 17 yrs or so only to see
each one abandoned before completion because. ....the next " Best Thing " was being released.
Anyways , still working and still making an effort with Game Guru , hoping this time the cycle won't be repeated again.

As with many of you , I still stay on here because Game Guru has , by far , the best forums support members of any
game engine that I have ever seen and I personally want to thank each and everyone for the amazing help and kindness
you all show to everyone who comes in here.
Let's keep at it.
P.s. this is NOT meant to be an angry rant at all....I'm cold-blooded at the moment.......just a statement of fact....no more...no less.

Let\'s actually make something happen with this one !

One of the few times i have agreed with you UNIRD12B, it looks and sounds great, but it's another ina long list of new projects being added when previous projects are nowhere near completion, i know gameguru won't ever be completed, it's evolving software so will always be being worked on, but it's not even to a point where bugs and issues are minor points that can be lived with, and they're bringing something new out.

Well, I agree about unfinished stuff to a degree. I don't think it is fair to include Dark Basic or Dark Basic Pro though, they are pretty finished imo. Windows updates have made DB and DB Pro less useful but they were fine beforehand. AGK V2 is also pretty good, can't really say that is unfinished either.

Not quite sure about AGK Studio. I can't really see a massive difference to AGK V2 really, besides the extra interface options. Things like instant help at the touch of a button put me off, that's already in both AGK and AGK V2 already. The graphics look pretty good, but I'm sure if someone put in the effort, could come up with something pretty nice in the current AGK V2.

It may be worth getting_ if_ it includes a lot of shaders ready for use, as AGK V2 doesn't out the box. I've seen a shader pack, but now there's a new version of AGK winging it's way to market it puts me off investing in any more AGK DLC. I'd need a lot more info before I could invest in it even at the much reduced pre-order price. I am tempted though, lol.

Edit - Oh it would be a big jump if it were 64 bit as well and worth it for that alone to me. I'm not sure I want to spend time with another 32bit system. I very much doubt though that it is any more than an updated version of AGK with a new 3D engine.

Even AGK V2 has a 64bit option. So AGk Studio should have one too. I create every Windows application with AGK v2 in 64 bit mode. So the big jump is already done in the past!

Gotta agree with you UNIRD12B, although I have not been around TGC that long.... but yeah pretty annoyed that I only just bought AGK not so far back, and now this comes out. And there is so much work required for GG.

Just be happy it is at least still for the most part, on the back-burner.

Ooops did I say that out loud
