could key press control an animation set.
or key press on collision. play animation =
or bind key to play animation on collision .

Without spoiling things, ladders will be workable in the near future.....

great news,
the video was just a quick mock up.
perhaps the idea for a cut scene,
but interesting that ladders are being worked on.
probably ledges to. and better control of custom animation.
but still did not answer my questions though. not just ladders
but other animation that can be controlled by key assignment
and activate on collision. having the ability to activate a set of animation
frames on collision with key press opens up so much possibility.
i am guessing animation will be keyed over a height of 100 units as default
as placing off feet and hands on a default ladder system, as you could not
use on anything above or bellow the unit size, ladders could be to short
or to long against a custom building or wall.

Actually the ladders will be any length you in steps of either 50 units or a 100 units.

About time ladders were added. The anims have been around before Reloaded, ahem, GG was even released. Great news!

Yes, there's input checking via if statements and then set and play the desired animation, collision is a bit more tricky but could be done with raycasting - perhaps post in the script section for a better answer
