All this shadow camera stuff is hurting my head, so decided to do something else for a while.

So i added a fake volumetric light system:

Also show the progress on the flashlight dynamic shadows.

( added to GG Loader, next update ).

Not sure if its just my phone but the video won't play for me, getting a playback error. edit: yep, just my phone, works fine on pc
Good luck with the shadows, I'm sure it is quite a headache, just looking at some of your shaders makes me feel dizzy :p

awesome to see the shadows in action though even if they're not quite right yet... adds so much depth

GraPhiX: The techniques behind new stuff is what takes time to perfect , when that is working in GG Loader , its not really a problem converting it to GG as the stuff behind is nearly the same in DX11 as in openGL , just a few changes to how you do it , and converting opengl shaders to DX11 are a trivial thing for me now , so i normally try to do this without testing anything, just to not bore myself i try to make everything work in the first try (with no errors), like a little puzzle game

if you could some way make soft edges in the volumetric light it will be much better because volumetric light are like fog the blur in the edges

Please do not get me wrong this only a tip and maybe you already know this and didn't make it because is impossible at the moment, nevertheless you "special effects" are great , nice job

i'm sure preben will make it look great already but you could also make two lights in the same spot but 1 slightly larger radius and lower intensity to give the same impression
