It's been a few and maybe time to make to make some new stuff for GameGuru, so I am easing into it.
These statues will come as candle holders etc and feature PBR textures, Dark Souls/Bloodborne Gothic style.

I will post new images as I go along with finishing these up and maybe even do a small build to capture the screenshots just to see what GG is doing these days

Super. Even though they are not the same. They are along the line of Dr. Who's weeping angels. Will these be in the store? If not no big deal for me but I will buy them if they end up there.

You are a superb artist. There are others here, of course, (Wolf comes to mind) but I have always liked your objects and will always purchase them, along with Wolf's)

They look very good, for me as someone who embraces gothic style a must buy when it is available.

I don't know who made this clip and you might not like the music of Draconian, but i think the clip is filled with inspiration for more statues.

Yes.

@Earthling45. yeah, These are Bloodborne inspired, they are everywhere in the game just about, single and grouped. So will probably do a couple of pedestals to go with them.
I won't be doing any angel statues as I feel these are more limited to graveyards and online stores are awash with these anyhow, these are more for decoration anywhere and could be used large or small for indoor as well as outdoor scenes.

Very interesting models, especially since the Tgc store does not have a whole lot of models that have a heavily sculpted or fabric look.

Splendid work!

I have a particular fondness for haunting statues and your work seems to hit the nail right on the head. You can invoke a lot of emotions in the player if you use them in the right environment and play the right musical cue.

If I where to criticise, The first 2 look very much like actual statues but that last one looks like a (gorgeous) character mesh that has a granit texture thrown on it. Maybe this is the game designer in me talking though.

Wonderful set I hope you make some more variants

I think it may be that the third one shows the face, also as I go along I am sculpting the cloth details in zbrush so it's an on going process. I am also finding that uv layout makes a big difference when baking out the AO etc as I am creating unique PBR materials. Probably change up the hood on a few so it covers completely, makes it that little more mysterious and eerie. Still to do final detail painting on these as well and that should help with finalising the impression of them being statues and not characters

I can think of several places to stick those candles
For example I am just finishing up one holding a skull with a candle on it.

Getting a little into the PBR workflow as a WIP for now, it is coming along and different stone color textures are easily swapped out for these once the normal, gloss, metalness and AO maps are created. I kinda like PBR in GG as it would be real easy for users to swap out the base diffuse texture with their own and let the shader maps do all the work.
I also like the fact that the shader pretty much does what it should (so far) and putting a little environment reflection on models instantly makes them sit right into the color palette.
I didn't want to go nuts right away so I can concentrate on getting all the basic texture bakes rendered out. I will get back to playing around with it later. Nice one Preben.
