After trying to import a basic FBX or 3ds or whatever the fusss and can not, missing maps, missing shapes runtime error, and in a click do that in other engine, , and after spending not a huge amount but some money in assets for GG after realize that Multiplayer is a joke and the other players must have the engine also, i am done with GG and my advice is spend your time and effort in a real engine because their are free and you could do real games with it not this fussing joke that is a pain in the ass

my time here is ending goodbye forever engine that give more headaches than games.

and again my advice to you is SWITCH

every hour is a waist of your time and may be in you are a real indie game maker who one day could make the difference but no here, here you make jokes. ,and if you are the one who do not care and just want to mess around with an engine, again mess around with real ones because "you will fill force" and enjoy your 1000 hours spent in the mess around fuss.

Well whatever the problem is its not GameGuru … I didn't even move and they started attacking
Did you try renaming your " files" folder to "Files2 " like I suggested and reinstalling GG from scratch so it wouldn't have any of your old script, asset contamination ?



Here it is with Debug switched on to show that im being detected at the set range and its working .

@Synchromesh and everyone else at GG... I managed to resolve the issue!

You not gonna believe this, but if you don't have an audio device plugged in, the enemies don't shoot at you. Lol!

My headphones broke a while ago, so I didn't have an audio device plugged in, then I got some new ones this morning, plug them in and now my enemies are shooting again! I'm so glad!

How about a search bar in the entities tab, in the next update? so we don't have to search for an entity all through the library.

COOL STUFF....minus custom animation import. I hope your still planning on making an app in gg itself that lets you set frames etc and then creates the final file. This new way is better, but is still.... go to fpe do this and then create this etc....

Search for the dragon in the new public preview. It is composed of fbx files

Check out the fpe file also.

Lee did a twitch video on it about three weeks ago.

Still pretty new.

when i put the last post i was very angry because i could do anything at the moment, with GG
of course i start ed to change to ue4 but i will still be in gg
GAMEGURU is a challenge, try to do everyday a better game is a chalange , i will stick around

the multiplayer think in one majer spet whose needs to be done

soon i will post some development maps in GG that i done
and 70% of them are totally free to people enjoy it

@Solar : If you can send me the character model to lee@thegamecreators.com and any associated media, I can do a quick test here by dropping it into a blank level and seeing if it stops shooting at a certain range. It 'could' be the weapon object blocking the ray as I don't think we exclude that from the objects to check.

Game Guru needs another upgrade to fix the bug problem of multiple textures in stand alone executable

i put my nephew dealing with this engine and i bought for him this container ship he ask me ant in the executable file there o noc ship at all

I think this is down to the model …
It doesn't seem to work in the DX11 version ... You may have to try and contact the artist on this one.

Ye not sure how that's going to be handled yet as GameGuru reads and copies the textures in the .fpe " Textured = " Field. Its left blank for Multi-Textures so therefore nothing to copy .

You have to keep in mind we were all aware of that at the time as GG never originally accepted Multi-Texture at all.
It was introduced much later and then only as long as you manually copied them .

I remember that container ship.
It is one mesh with 92000 polys in it.

It needs to be split up and Re exported.

well , but i did quite got it , should i contact the reseller or should i wait for another big game upgrade next season loll
i am sorry for the sarcasm but sometimes the problems with this engine are so many that one loses faith.

The multi texture thing i think is a recent problem because in my older games some of the old shanty homes that i used, they just appear in perfect in the executable and now, in recent engine upgrade no more.

Most of you are by far, far more prepared than I am in this affairs
but again , what you think i should do, contact the reseller, but if it is an engine issue i will be a stupid one just by importunate the ship creator.

Ok i just copy the entire files to the executable final folder and voila it works

It works fine in the DX9 version it was created for … Its like running old XP software on Windows 10. Sometimes the Artist / Creator needs to update his work to be compatible …

This is what I got … Typing the same thing for GG / Unreal gives similar results

I fixed a bug for multitextured models which not carry over their textures in the standalone.

In the standalone process, we look for different modelfiles(main file and appended files) to add them to the standalone, but the process just checked the last modelfile for textures. Now it checks every file for textures and add them to the standalone.

my friends game guru needs with some urry to go to a real multiplayer, because this engine in some ways goes in front but only in small ideas what i mean is that Game Guru launches the idea but because of implementation lag, and lack of speed, other engines copy the thing and go in front . it's a petty, GameGuru Creators Team (Mr Lee) could earn a lot of money.
I see recently the game mod insurgency survival and they literally copy this zombie thing that we have in game guru for centuries

meaning the ugly high speed hugly zombie soldiers.
They do not copy the soldiers of course , but the idea, and put it in multiplayer co op
So, despite complaining a lot, i feel part of an community GG community and i get mad when i see other go in front, GGGRRRRRR

GameGuru development team goes in front in a lot of issues, but please do not sleep, because you have a big potential final game development end user guys in this community, all together we can do big stuff , and go in front off all
i am sorry for my speech but i am a competitive guy, and like to be in a competitive team.

bye for now and GG TEAM keep done a good job, but speed up please.

PS. I miss Matereffects triple AAA lighting , that lens flare and pot effects were awesome, put them again in GG

PROBLEMS AGAIN
i can not understand with are major upgrades and the bugs , simples bugs still in the game.
GG is not an essay engine so we can draw beautiful world and stand there, we design the levels so we can share, sell, what ever to the public . and by that we need an reliable exe.
i would like to invite the GG team to my office so they can see with their own eyes the real issues in this engine like , Everytime we think that, OK it now i will put a game in the street , the problems start to appear.
and one simple one , is why the heck the team do not fix the simple path problem with the textures

we see the assets in the engine in teste mode bute in the exe , no entities because no textures, only invisible walls loll
please fix this because everyone is tired of this big small steps

i think i am not the only one who whats to put an simple level in the market and can not

, and do not give the answer is multiple texture because they are not this is a BUG

and do not tell me to manually put the files in the final executable of the executable this is not practical, my friends

so please fix that

come on people , if we are still in here please some consideration will be grateful

They are Multiple textures I checked your last reported ones .
Its already been said its fixed for the next update in your last thread.
You have also been given a temporary solution to manually copy them across.

Its not a bug !!

GameGuru was never designed for Multi-texture and it was added by request and we were aware that and I have told you this already.

I think it's rude in posting snotty comments and then 3 hours later say it was rude, or threatning people by leaving (Posted: 4th Aug 2018 20:03) and then weeks later another comment popup.

Yes is was rude, and I wish some game developers will sometimes think before speak.
There is different ways of putting something.

Being a software engineer for 27 years, writing programs in 17 different languages, ranging from assembler, mainframe, PC, linux, mobile, I sometimes which that some people have a slight more idea about programming.

95% of the time, when a update is release and the customer see a problem, it's the application..... but they don't look at their own... and if it were a client error and not a application error, they will never tell end say "SORRY.. I was wrong"

So give Lee and the guys some gap....
They really work hard, and research and develpment don't come cheap...
Look at Windows XP, released in 1995 (original install 48 x 1.44MB stiffy) and they still have bugs....
