Hey just tried the new update
Looked amazing but when I went to leave the map....
Comp froze so bad had to pull plug to reboot as
Ctrl.alt.del would not respond.
Waited 5 minutes then shut down.

Was a fresh update,,,,had verified all files BEFORE trying it

Help........ideas?.?

Ok..
Complete restart...no change in settings,,,,
Same map.........thus time.....left map after playing it......no problem....

Next..........???

Just played a couple of maps with no problems,probably just a glitch with good old windows .

Wow that sounds rough. I'm a bit out of the loop but is the monster update a private beta or public (automatic)? I've not had any crashes like that myself with the public version.

Hi ,
I think it's the private beta

Just also noted that when I set terrain to lush and save it...next time I load
the map it's set back to a custom desert one I made.
Reset it again....and then it seems to stay.....

Ideas ?

Ps. To me the shadows look pretty darn good now...outside at least.

Verify and reboot first … Some updates don't settle right away
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

You must not watch the movie "Frozen" on your computer, anymore.

GG map editor will freeze on me when it reloads a previous map if the current one breaks or if after I use fraps or Windows 10 Game Recorder. I know that's not your problem; but, I used this as an excuse to post the above.

I also have not as yet to put this on github as a bug because it's not a show-stopper. I still might though.

I can confirm that after a session restart, the mouse points sticks to the top left sometimes, which I intend to fix for the next build. If anyone can post on GitHub issues tracker a good step by step to reproduce the sudden crash that would be super useful, as I suspect something has been introduced to the private beta which is eating valuable memory areas, thanks!

Yes, I had an error/warning message first time I compiled and ran the monster update, but it didn't show next time I ran GG. hmmmm. If I get it again, I'll snapshot it and post on Github bugs

Had some "luck" today , GG was hanging , but at the same time i had the debugger running

This explain some of these cases , not sure if it also have to do with "UNIRD12B" problem , does it still happen for you , or is happen randomly ? , do it happen no matter what map you try ?

Now , it seems to me , some of the lighting sliders are having no effect.
