Hi everyone, I am having problems with my doors for a cupboard. I can't believe after having made so many animated items that I am having this problem so I thought that I would give it to you. Another thought on the subject and all.

The doors open ok and then seem to close ok but when finished closing they disappear. If I then press E again they appear and open again, then round and round we go. This is really doing my head in and is probably an obvious fix but I can't see it.

hellllllllp please.

This is my FPE just in case I missed something obvious:

Thanks for looking

What happens if you change the end frame from 60 to 55 in the fpe? Maybe you skipped the last frame when exporting. If it still disappears at least you can rule out the animation as being the problem.

this can be a number of things. Is the Occludee parameter for the entity set to 'Yes' instead of 'No'? Maybe change start frame from 0 to 1,I used to have this issue before when writing my 'welder' apps. Is 'isImmobile' param set to Yes or No? in the editor for the entity. Although setting this to No used to make some object fly away.

Change occluder and occludee to no in the properties, it fixes most of the dissapearing door issues.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses, I found that changing the occluder and occludee to no was an answer, can I set this in the FPE so that it does not have to be done by the designer.

I also found that changing the first animation to 1,30 instead of 0,30 and the second animation to 31,59 instead of 31,60 worked.

Also, I forgot to add something else for some reason when I press E the first time I get the sound but nothing happens, I have to press E again to make the doors open. Has anyone heard of that?

Thanks...

@Belidos Thanks for the help with the FPE.

I discovered that I had set the cupboard to an animation in the FPE by mistake and not noticed that it was green in GG. This meant that it was firing off the cupboard animation first, of course, there was no movement because it was not animated, duh, Then it was waiting for the doors animation.

I suddenly noticed that it was green and sorted this out, it is working as it should now.
