Which 3d program are you planning to use? The model needs to be in one mesh and combine the textures.

It will need to have a skeleton or bone rig to attach the mesh to.

Do you have fbx2gg program to transfer stock animations to the character?

I am planning to use blender. Yes these are combined in one mesh.
But is it required to have fbx2gg?

FBX2GG will make your life easier. Otherwise you will need to animate all movements you want by yourself and the adjust the FPE file for the animation calls, then modify the AI scripts to match your animations.

Not sure if anybody has gotten a custom character from blender to Game Guru yet with out the help of the FBX2GG app.

He got banned for admitting to trying to hack the tgc server, among other things.

As to getting custom characters into gg from Blender, I've done it, it imports fine and works, it doesn't work well but that's probably because I'm new to rigging and haven't done the skin weights right yet, but I don't think it's because of any issue with the importing into gg or exporting from blender. I think its just a matter if getting the skin weights and bone rotation right, then choosing the right export settings.

If I get time to finish learning rigging etc in blender and getting it working right I'll try to do a video on what I did.
