I am creating Graffiti and wall art the problem I am having is manually lining up my model to existing models within gameguru is there a 'snap to' option like with the EBE? its taking me forever to line everything up

FPSC Classic had a snap to wall option, maybe this would be good to see back in GameGuru.

yeah that doesn't work though I think it is because I'm attaching (or trying to) an entity to an entity

I have got it pretty dam close though when you view from the side it does at least look as though its on the bunker

I just used the bunker as an example I want my wall art to basically go on any wall fence etc I have made about 15 of these items I don't want to make one for each entity it would take me an age lol I just wanted to create universal wall art that could be attached to anything

But thank you for the idea it took me a week to work out the transparency I don't want to go back now lol

Are those decals? I've never had much luck putting one on any surface myself. You either get it so close it shares the same plane (with the resulting visual glitches) or the slightest bit out you can notice the space in between. "Snap to" would be a nice feature.

This actually still exists in Game Guru:

forwardfacing = 1

Add that to your FPE file and it will snap to flat surfaces.

Example of a decal sign snapping instantly to an entity wall without clipping, by use of "forwardfacing":

thank you Teabone, I will try it once I know how to get the new build lol do I just choose public preview ?
@Jerry Tremble err I don't know I created them in sketchup and fireworks then exported as x file created an fpe and that's it

I was having issues with transparency setting it to black but could not get it to work so in fireworks I set transparent background and that worked

@Teabone it kind of works but if the surface is not completely flat I have to scale and rotate, I think I am asking too much to get them to 'wrap' as it were but I am happy with the results, the black texture issue seems to be resolved in the preview build.
swapping textures in the house crashes 2017-3-10 BETA so I swapped one at a time saved closed app, open app load level rinse and repeat and all my textures seem to be there will try a new lightmap and see how that goes. thank you all for your help

as a side note if you look closely at the video you will notice the 'disappearing' lamp it seems to happen to any entity I put inside an ebe, ive never mentioned it before Its not a biggie but wondered if anyone else had a similar issue

There is also something about the height, can't remember exactly how called, but allow you to place things at height level, such as switches.

When I get some good free time I'm going to be going through all of the FPE attributes and even some of the ancient ones to see if they still work in GG. Here is what I have currently:

I believe with "defaultheight" to raise it you use a number like "50" rather than "-50". I use this so that people don't have to try to mess around with the widget in the editor to raise the wall objects. Its a very handy property.
