Anyone else had a super jerky, almost unusable editor window with the new update. I only have a few entities and the map editor is so sloooow.
Aftershock Quad Core AMD FM2+ 3.5 GHz 8GB Motherboard and Processor, A7700k apu, Asus GT970 STRIX 4gb Nvidia gfx card.

Verify and reboot .... That will sort it
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

I have done that verified and rebooted, still the same though. any ideas?

Mine has done that for the last couple of updates . The 'player' will move for 4-5 seconds and then the map will stutter for a second (like something is waiting to catch up or load another piece of the map (?)) and then continue for another 4-5 sec. and stutter again . Everything verifies as good . Doesn't matter if there is one object on the map or several . No big deal for me but it does happen .

does it still happen if you dont have the mouse cursor over the terrain? move it outside to the menu (don't need to click) and see if it still does it, i reported an issue with the selection box back when it was first released and this sounds the same.

Strange .... I have this almost every update on the beta but verifying and reboot always sorts it for me ?
Usually the new shaders don't quite sit to well on the update ...try deleting the effectbank and re verifying ..

still jerky and very very slow no matter where the mouse pointer is. seriously inhibits work on my machine.

Roll back to the Public release .... Strange as mine is fine now ...but its beta ... Who knows how it can effect certain machines ?

The stutter on my map happens in 'test game' and in 'edit mode' I sometimes get a slight delay when I select an entity (stock items) to place down .

I've notice some delay because the EBE stuff upload, but nothing serious. Perhaps it has to do with the machine, but if so, we should see many reports like this, in future.

ah yes sorry latest beta update and the map editor window really really jerky, but pre-beta it's as smooth as silk.

I second what smallg said, for the last 2 Windows updates I've had it screwed up my video card drivers, last time my system just froze randomly and it never came back without a reboot, the time before that I got the blue screen of death..

I have a really weak video card but the editors fine but I'm not using the beta

I'm also losing about 15-25fps on the same map between latest beta and release build. What has changed, whatever it is, seems to be effecting both editor and testgame.

I have a Asus Strix GTX970 nvidia card, so not that weak, on my system, specs below.

Just a little extra info I just found out if your on the Beta ....
Sometimes Lee leave the debugger on in the executable and it slows things down...

I have it occasionally, but a restart of the PC (no verify) gets rid of it, always.

you can also end any processes that don't need to be running in the task manager, some programs (e.g. services type programs) in the background can conflict or slow GameGuru and/or other apps down. You can use msconfig to stop programs/services to run automatically upon windows start). Also, windows in general can slow your PC down, but with a change to Windows settings you can make your programs more efficient i.e. a flat looking windows without fancy animations, graphics, sounds etc can speed up your whole environment.

editor is fine on release version, but latest beta has this problem only. verified steam file rebooted etc, but still jerky on beta build.

I'm getting a lot of stutter in test when you move close to largish entities (it's probably where the player collision mesh is intersecting with the ebjects collision mesh) on the live version, almost every entity that's big enough to fill the screen when you get right up close, but nothing in the editor.

i5, NV960 2GB, 16GB memory, 2x 2TB Hybrid, Win10.

Ok Guys .... Firstly this isn't the place to write Beta problems which this has turned into ...Please use the Beta forums ....
Any issues after a beta update should be posted there..
However ... The beta will always be broken ... Lee is working on stuff and just updates the Beta randomly. At the moment there isn't much to test till we hear from Lee ...
