For once, I'm baffled as to why my hidden staff for the wizard no longer is invisible as it once was in previous versions of GG. I was assuming black is the transparent colour in GG, but has this changed. 2 pics below show the staff hidden in the editor, but in game this is visible. I opened the staff_D.dds from the gun folder and made everything black and updated the FPE/gunspec etc.
Not sure if this is due to the new Preben shaders or I've missed something.
if anyone has any ideas why this might be , I welcome any feedback.

unfortunately, white doesn't work, I'll mess around with it later after work.

Compared 1.13 shaders with the current and there is no clipping of black in any of them (weapon_bone.fx) , could be something Lee do in code ? , anyway if you make your alpha "black" it will disappear , or you can remove it from wizard fpe.

In gunspec.txt do you use something else then this ?

@Preben-Yes, thats correct I've used the weapon_bone.fx and made the staff_D.dds texture black and even tried white. I used to always make alpha black, but works in editor but not in Game. I'll try my other OS with GG installed and see if I get same result. Maybe I've messed up my GG installation somewhere, not sure....I shall perservere
