Ok now the EBE has been released I thought I would post my Tests from the Beta Forum ....

First My FPS test recreating and extending my Sci Fi Demo ( Originally created in Sketchup ) ..

And then I gave Isometric a test ..For those who may think at first glance that the EBE is a bit basic I can assure you you its a pretty powerful little tool and you can do lots with it

Nice. Are any weapons working in third person, aside from the fireball, yet?

Not yet until Lee implements 3rd person functionality for all characters ....
MXS has done a great workaround though

Thanks Bod, if Unreal can corner the market on visuals, I will try the corner the market on making things a touch easier for everyone

That only works with the Wizards at the moment ...
Place a start marker and drag the wizard onto it ..... then click it and select properties ....
You can adjust the view and camera angles in the " Third Person " options at the bottom

Thanks, I realized after I posted that I knew "how" but I when I tried I used one of the soldiers and he kept shooting himself in the bum so I gave up, the wizard works a lot better

You can get soldiers to work in third person, but you have to do some creative adjustment, you need to create a copy of the weapon it uses, change the cross hair, and adjust the camera so that the cross hair doesn't cross the body of the soldier.

MXS did a post explaining how to do it a while back.

Impressive
I like the 3rd person video...
We need more control over the 3rd person settings.... for some nice dungeon games or sidescrollers...
Old school FPS fan, DOOM!!! Why GG not working on my AMIGA 500?
