This is the third thread I've seen like this so far asking for news and still no answer from the higher up's? I would have figured someone would chime in by now.Maybe someone forgot to pay the Internet bill over at headquarters And they got disconnected

when I've been on holiday there are always far too many emails awaiting when I get back but doesn;t normally take this long to wade through them all. Bad excuse, some short news should be forthcoming by now, I don;t think it's too much to ask for, even when I'm busy I still manage a few lines of update even if there is no progress. not good business to keep your customers in the dark.

I agree and if I was in their position I would have writing a short update just to give everyone a heads up, after all it only take a minute, if that. I really don't like being left in the dark either, but that's the way it is. Speculation or anything won't help, nor worrying. I will give it another week or so, but getting to be extremely frustrating... for a lot of people too

well ebe has so far taken from april may june july august and september........ majority wanted this fiend of software so everyone who had actually put it up on their votes even a small vote, you asked for this so wait and accept it. i had to and dont really need it. in this half a year other things could of been done like 64bit x11 all sorts if i am honest so this apparent essential needed above all else has probably cost tgc time advancement i the engine and potential customers so you can build a hut house etc. i will not have a snide told you so or even a resenting tone or message, except, i am so glad i have so much going on at the moment it does not really affect me. and i am almost musing at the idea this may be a xmas release. in the end it takes time and everyone wanted this but a few and so i suggest you all sit tight for soon you will be able to build your streets etc. and design like minecraft. so really you wanted minecraft really!! just kidding lol all will be good hang in there
an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of game creation!!!

I won't be dropping it permanently, but I may step away for a while myself. No progress and no information as to what's going on is truly aggravating. Waste of time checking, really.

I never voted for the EBE either, yet I was somewhat excited for it. I don't think the problem here is the time it's taking. I think the issue is that the fact we have heard zip from anyone at TGC for over a month now and it's rubbing people off the wrong way, which I fully understand and share.

Well according to the last thread some emails had been exchanged, but other than that no one seems to know anything or if they do they aren't saying anything. Maybe it's a big surprise? Free cake for everyone maybe? Lol

i dont understand the "give us news or i quit" mentality - an update to tell you it's not finished yet isn't going to make any difference to you, you're still in the exact same place until the update is done and we can move on to the next feature.
personally i dont want the EBE and i will likely never use it but it was clearly important to a lot of people on the voting board so let lee spend the time finishing it and release it when it actually works.

even if the EBE is finished the engine is still months (or years at this rate) away from being able to produce a fully featured and good quality game - don't get me wrong, there are certainly some decent efforts and some amazing simple scenes - but every game so far has some form of workaround for something that's just currently lacking...

we know what's happening, the problem is we just want it to happen faster

Thanks everyone for their concern and funny comments, I especially like the skeleton coder As some of you know, I came back from my holiday middle of last month and since then been working through backlog. What no-one knows, is that I've also been helping out with some other areas of the TGC business which needed my personal attention to get them up to speed. The life of a CEO and the life of a coder are two very different things, a lot more plates to spin for one, and responsibility for everything, even if it's not my project.

Sorry if some of you have taken my holiday and other duties personally, it was not my intention to leave you in the dark. What began as an extra week to sort out some bits turned into three. The good news is that I have almost extracted myself from the process and shall soon be full steam again on GameGuru, starting with an interim release of V1.132 containing some small improvements to the engine plus a LOT of new game assets.

In my opinion, and those of my internal beta testers, the EBE (Easy Building Editor) is not quite ready yet, so I've decided that there's no reason why you should have to wait for the extra content I have already assembled, tested and primed for release. I've also been informed that threads like this are springing up like mushrooms, and if you read something along these lines, feel free to post that "I ain't dead" and normal service will resume shortly. If you have been, thanks for your patience!
