This looks really cool, stellar quality on the texture! Also hit me up in skype if, during your development, you need anything translated into german.

I have uploaded a preview demo on my google drive ....
I'm interested in the speeds users will get as GameGuru is now .... And of course to see what you think ..

Just got through a couple of runs. All worked perfectly. Frame rate not an issue on highest graphic settings. Loved your un-packer. Does that come standard with GURU now? Looking forward to more.

Hi Isagabe
The unpacker is available here ... Vishnu Packer 1.9 ... http://www.gamegurufiles.co.uk/applications.html

but a couple of users have had the packer crash so I have re uploaded them just as a single Rar file..
You can still press F11 in standalone to show your exact framerate ..... Good news your not getting any issues ... Thanks for testing

Getting low framerate msg with 5 fps; after improves fps, getting 14/17.
Now you've the lowest framerate data, of course we are speaking about my resources.
Even so, I can play your demo without problems.
Nice level mate.
Notice soldiers killing me thru the walls and doors, but perhaps GG collision bug.

Thanks 3com I appreciate the feedback .... Yes I think that's a GG issue shooting through walls ..
Its better than it used to be but if the characters get to close behind a wall or near the edge of a doorway you still seem to get shot ..

I got a smooth 50+ FPS (averaging at around 70+) throughout the level. It was fun to see a decent number of characters and actually feeling like you could dodge/charge with enough AI to worry about having to find cover. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses

While it suffers from some of those almost un-avoidable issues the current GG has right now, it really feels liek an oldschool shooter experience that was wrapped up polished and cleverly thought through.
Very good work!

@synchromesh great job indeed. for the performance I never went under 100 fps. most of my fps was 134-174 to 200 fps. this was most fastest guru game I've played. turn on vsync kept at 60 fps.

I just played the demo. Very nice work! It got my adrenaline pumping and I only got through by the skin of my teeth. Also like how you have to make your shots count - I nearly ran out of ammo. Not sure what the framerate was but it ran smooth and fast on my low spec laptop so I think most users will not have a problem.

Thanks for the feedback lordjulian ....
So far its all been positive so I'm pretty happy .... More ammo is hidden in some of the cells if you get short
I have set spawning points for characters and they are placed pretty well so if you use caution and move strategically its pretty easy and you have time to take a breather .. Spawning them also helps keep the fps up and isn't really noticeable in an area like that so you could have hundreds of troops but only have to deal with 3 or 4 at a time

I can concur! It ran reasonable on my laptop.

You had me scouring for that ammo, synchro
