Had the same problem with (2), so someone else advised to remove the start marker and add new start marker then add the rabbit Todd back. But the rabbit throws fireballs instead of the original multicolor decal ammo that was in the original demo..
For (1) check that the path exists in your gameguru install folders. Also try verifying the files via steam. If all else fails, click on the green help button to the right of this page.
[update-actually I just noticed that the path guns\todd doesn't physically exist only guns\easter. TGC will need to correct this]
