Hello,

I think Game Guru made the right choice by adding an in editor transformation gizmo, however I've noticed depending on the angle of the viewport, the controls can be very glitchy and hyper sensitive. I think adding a raw value transformation option field would be a beneficial addition to the gizmo, that way it would be easier to manipulate objects by precise values instead of only arbitrarily using the mouse and being subject to glitchy moves. I can post a video explaining the problems I've encountered if one would like.

Here is an example of what I think would be beneficial, adding an option field like so:

Thoughts?

I think it's a great idea, and if you have some ideas where the numeric boxes can go in the existing widget display, it will help me form a plan to implement this. I don't want to add clutter or confusion, but the ability to enter specific values for position, scale and rotation can only be a great thing.

What would also be nice is an "Extract " added to the lasso ...that way you could select a street of objects for example ..Then Extract" and copy the whole selection knowing that they are all exactly the same angles. sizes etc as what you selected ...

Plus it would be a big bonus when creating maps a lot faster

@Lee thanks a lot for acknowledging this, along with a "Duplicate" feature for selected items, this manual XYZ method is something I would really, really like to see.

I've created a visual representation of what I think would be a good design.

You can see I have added a small square window icon to the left of the selectors. When that is pressed, a floating dialog box will open with the input fields. Here is the example:

and this is the dialog box

What do you think Lee?

it would be grate to have fine control over moving objects, in blender you hold shift while moving an object to make it move slower and mire finely, something like that would be awesome.

I like the expandable boxes idea, keeps the simplistic look but offers easy access, obviously it just needs to make sure only 1 can be opened at a time.

And I definitely agree a multiple entity extract and clone option is desperately needed, it would make map creation so much faster!

Same here. So they can use radiobuttons instead of boxes, so you can choose only one at time. Just my thoughs.

I vote for that I need this for a very long time when needing to adjust the position of an object
You could expose the position rotation and scale in the property window it has been missing

Glad to see that this suggestion has received the support from all you guys. Hope to see it in a future Game Guru build at some point.

I've been requesting a group extraction tool for some time. That would be very useful.

Wow, very nicely done. 100% approval on your design there! I have added it to my short list which means I am allowed to sneak it in anytime I wish Should not be difficult to code, my only hesitation is that such a hack would be entirely replaced with my LUA GUI idea which would allow any LUA script to expose a user-facing GUI that allows variables, strings and filenames to be changed in the script without requiring any coding. I think perhaps this numeric gadget could be the start of this work. Thanks again for the design and encouraging feedback.
