Wanted to see how far I could take GG with graphics, so I found some free HD textures and wanted to see what they looked like as terrain in GG.

Well the result is pretty sick, realistic looking terrain and still getting over 60 FPS. Each texture is an average of 1000x1000 pixels to about 1500x1500px. Didnt bother touching any normal maps or anything and they look fine with the textures at hand.
I think I'm gonna build a little demo to show off some of the graphics this engine is capable of, but for now, this screenshot should suffice. Will be adding more screenshots as I go.

v2: Updated normal maps.

That terrain is nice! Looks like it has normal maps already!

These look great. Hope they don't slow down the engine with a full game.

I don't know about on a full game just yet. I'm actually working on a game now using the HD snow textures so I hope it goes well.
