What alterations do I need to make to stop Tents, Drums, Boxes and NPC’s from Appearing and Disappearing
in the third level of my completed game.

The third level is the ready made Level “GET TO THE RIVER”, all is ok until the Camp near the end of the level, as
the Player is moved around the Tents, Drums, Boxes, Rocks and NPC’s keep Appearing and Disappearing
as I move the player towards them, or back from them. It is impossible to play the end of the game with this
problem.

Is it LOD, any idea’s what adjustments I need to make to stop this problem. Happens on both Computers.

Many Thanks

Maybe try turning the "Occlusion" slider down all the way?

also try editing the entity(s) FPE and adding 'notanoccluder = 1' without the single quotes.

I'm getting this a lot since the last update objects randomly flickering in and out, both in standalone and in test, i'll be looking at something no more than a few feet in front of me and turn only slightly and it disappears entirely until I turn back, it's not LOD for me as it can be something right in front of me or miles away, there's no apparent rhyme or reason, it can be quite annoying.

Probably occlusion. I have found it very difficult to find a balance with it. Generally for any outdoor game you tend to have to turn it really low, (below 10) or off, dependant on the distance you can view. Knock down occlusion to less than 50 and keep testing and lowering until the popup stops. If you have areas where you can see say, 100m in front of you, you will probably have to turn it to 10 or less to avoid it altogether.

I still think the occlusion system needs some work to get it use-able for large outdoor areas, which is annoying as that is the main reason to be using occlusion in the first place. Even with the extra speed in this update, I am still struggling to make even a half decent scene that can run well

Thanks all for your reply's, I appear to have solved the problem by turning off Occlusion in the slider, as suggested, and making Terrain LOD Near = 98 Terrain LOD Mid Range = 100 and Terrain LOD Far Range = 101.

I saved the Game as a Standalone, and I still had the same problem, I then saved the Game again as a Standalone, this time the
problem disappeared. I did not notice any slowdown in performance.
