This is a personal project that I thought I would share with you all. I've been wanting to do this for awhile as I'm a massive Star Wars fan. With the new film coming out in a day or two and the inspiration I've got from synchromesh's Rise Of The Rebel Alliance demo, I wanted to have a go at finally making some models.

As I said this a personal project and will never be released.

First model started the mighty X-Wing :

PC - Windows 7 64bit, Intel i5, 12Gb Ram, 1TB WD Black, Evga Geforce 760gtx 2GB
Laptop - Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Core i7-3632QM processor, 8GB of RAM, 1Tb Hdd, Nvidia Geforce GT 740m

Thanks Bored of the Rings

Closed wings with a bit more detail but not too much, as I'm going to let the normal map do the work with this model.

A quick render with the texture on (dish is not textured).

Do you think it looks right? does it need to be darker, gaps too big?

Personally I always loved the YT-5100, it just looks "right" to me

Cool

Small Joke

In the german movie they translate T-Fighter, which sounds like Tee-Jäger. If you translate this back, it would be the Tea-Hunter.
My dream is to develope games, which makes fun when I create it and fun when other people play it.

I love a cup of tea

A very basic video of trying to get the falcon to fly and getting the landing gear to work. The models are also very basic for the moment, I'm just working out all the mechanics.

I haven't really done at lot to any of my projects over Xmas, I've spent the time trying to learn more about modeling.

The only work I've done was a bit more to my version of docking bay 94. I have a basic texture and layout done, you can walk around inside the building, most of it is built with single planes and using cullmode 1 for GG to show the texture both sides, I'll see how well this works.

This does go underground as well.
