Hello,

I noticed that the files FPM games once compiled (standalone) are not encrypted. It is possible in the open in GameGuru... I did a test with a game download on this forum and if you, like me, thousands of purchases at the store (so lots of 3D objects) you can open the FPM files in "Files \ mapbank \ "almost without losing any files ... what makes a game is not protected from illegal copying what would a malicious person

Do you know if this will be resolved in the future?

Thank you !

Regards,

The fpm does not include any media. If you own all the media, you can open the level. If you not own the media, the level will be open without this files. I did not know if this answer your question.

My dream is to develope games, which makes fun when I create it and fun when other people play it.

The fpm is just a file for the editor to read in so it knows where everything is. No media is included as stated above. However, I do agree protection could be a lot better than it is currently.

hi,
Thank you for your answers but just what is the problem ^^
I have so many assets (over 70% of the shop) I could open maps with almost all objects.
Imagine someone grabs a project to remake it her way?
Should be just that encryption is the same FPS Creator X9 / X10: If I remember correctly it was an encrypted ZIP archive that we could open with the password "mypassword". Should be able to create a unique password thereafter; so nobody can decompile create a game with GameGuru

I think it is under TGC but I do not know when they will do ^^

Good point here. We will look into this also.
There are a lot of people who know that password to the map files.

The use of a packer right now like Vishnu will encrypt everything in the game into one files.

I'm not too worried about the map for reasons mentioned, but have hundreds of hours invested in lua scripts so I'd really prefer these not to be in the clear for IP reasons and because I don't want the game logic to be user modifiable.

Cheers.

After reading this post, I have decided to create a program that will help/remedy this. I have just posted a thread for it in the Third Party Tools board, here's the link: https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/213124
