That would be great! I have not read that the speed would increase anywhere near that in blogs and such. I keep hearing percentages and I haven't heard 200% yet

That would get all but the largest scenes (the sort that drop to 8 fps or so in places) running a lot better. Still converting DC Pro code into C++ should make it much faster, it depends how much the DB code was slowing it. I know from playing with Dark C++ ages and ages ago it was a lot lot faster than DB
Edit - Lol, I did mean to answer the questions as well
The construction kit is on hold for the moment as it needed a lot more work before being ready for release. When other more important features have been attended to I imagine it will return. I think it is included on the voting list.
Particles are possible using the rocket launcher effect I understand (I haven't has reason to try it yet.), although it is limited to the trail effect as far as I know and can't be altered much as yet. I could well be wrong but I know it is possible of sorts.
No plans to put GG to any other machines really. I think it was bandied about at one point, but any plans of that nature would still be far into the future. Still with the code being converted to C++ there is much more chance it will be able to run on other platforms in the future (although it would need to use some sort of Open GL for that rather than directx).
