1. What happens with the construction kit?
2. Is it possible to creat particles?
3. Are they started talking about exporting to other platforms if so what?

Happy to be back

Hi Dany

Right now the engine is being Re written to at least double the speed allowing Dual core etc for the next update.
We have a new voting system so whatever is top after this update goes ahead ..

You can find that here and cast your vote https://www.game-guru.com/feature-vote

What was the last version you used ?
You can catch up on all the changelogs here http://steamcommunity.com/app/266310/announcements

That would be great! I have not read that the speed would increase anywhere near that in blogs and such. I keep hearing percentages and I haven't heard 200% yet That would get all but the largest scenes (the sort that drop to 8 fps or so in places) running a lot better. Still converting DC Pro code into C++ should make it much faster, it depends how much the DB code was slowing it. I know from playing with Dark C++ ages and ages ago it was a lot lot faster than DB

Edit - Lol, I did mean to answer the questions as well

The construction kit is on hold for the moment as it needed a lot more work before being ready for release. When other more important features have been attended to I imagine it will return. I think it is included on the voting list.

Particles are possible using the rocket launcher effect I understand (I haven't has reason to try it yet.), although it is limited to the trail effect as far as I know and can't be altered much as yet. I could well be wrong but I know it is possible of sorts.

No plans to put GG to any other machines really. I think it was bandied about at one point, but any plans of that nature would still be far into the future. Still with the code being converted to C++ there is much more chance it will be able to run on other platforms in the future (although it would need to use some sort of Open GL for that rather than directx).

Hi Dvader ...
Yes in one of Lees twitches he said after the update your speeds should double after the update .. Unless im mistaken
He mentions re- writing so may thousand lines of code and it should double our speed instantly ....but right now I cannot find it ..

Typical !!

what concerns me is the timeline goal to release it, is there one or is it up in the air I know from experience its hard to plan big code changes with release dates but a rough estimate would be interesting.

Good question !!

Ok the last release ( V1.01.0031) was released July 6th ) then we usually have a bug week ( taking us to around the July 13th )
so pretty much after that the real work for the next update began so its actually only been about 12 days ...Ye I know feels like ages

Huge updates can take up to 3 weeks as a guide....But this one is a bit special and should really improve things greatly for everyone .
Its already heavily into the update and according to my last info going very well ....
Its "not" going to be months or anything stupid if that's what your worried about ....Once this is done all those amazing voting features will come thick and fast.
