I've been making my own seamless textures in Gimp/Paint.net and have created the Default_N, Default_D, Path_N and Path_D, but have no idea how the Sedimentary and Mossy textures are generated. Are these just Default/Path textures with slightly different detail? Also, what is the Detailmap file, is this a file I need to create? If so, how?

The detail map doesn't really seem to do anything, in my tests.

Terrain textures blend in this direction (lowest first): Stone --> Mossy --> Sediment --> Default --> Path

Also, be advised that it seems to be misusing normal maps for 3/5 of the texture types if you enable highest detail settings.

Ah yes that makes sense thank you for your response Errant AI. I'll have to play around with this a bit more.
