mouse is out of position with the entities in this build and physics got messed up again, characters are disappearing and frame rate drops to almost 0.... bring back 027.

is there a way to go back an update on steam?

I made a city block a couple releases ago. I spent quite a bit of time on it. Now all my buildings are gone! They still show up in the entity list, but not on the map. This is why I have always refrained from making anything large. However, my mouse seems to be on target with the entities. Oh well, these things are to be expected.

If it is an older map, and was light mapped, re light map it. Give one object a slight nudge or add one.

For the custom character entries try putting these in the FPE file and see if it helps them.

skipfvfconvert = 1
fullbounds = 1
cpuanims = 1

My map had never been lightmapped, so I tried the F1 light mapper on it out of curiosity. It brought most of my buildings back onto the map! Interesting. Didn't get them all, but it got most! Thanks, Myke!

Are these made with the root bone at the pelvis? Add a dummy to the 0,0,0 position and attach the pelvis to that and see if that will fix it. Something was done to the code, I just cant quite put my finger on it. But thats what it looks like is going on.

I seen this with the zombies during the dev build test, and they replaced some of the x files of some of the zombies to fix it.

See if this will help on one of them.

Just kidding guy.

I think it forces you to work offline, because as soon as you connect to the internet, steam automatically updated in the 0.28 version.

For you people with the mouse off issues, can you post a screen sot. I am not seeing that on my machine.

Also what font size are you using for your desktop display.

sinking issue does seem to be only for harry's models, strange they worked fine last update but not now, hope he can get that fixed though cos it's great to see more animated models in GG

im using 1600 x 1024 resolution with default font size (96dpi i think it said)
it's not a major issue as i can still select stuff fine, only when placing stuff it gets a bit off track depending on where i am on the screen.
video uploading
edit this is also very noticeable on very small objects and markers

I have 1920x1080 and the same problem, so it is not a resolution issue. I tried some resolutions but it just get worse.

the dds file you are using for the decal is very small and possibly one color. please verify that you are using a decal texture with 16 images on it.

Zombies are broken. Some of them don't even attack when you are in melee range, and some even attack in slow motion (their animation only moves frame by frame when you do).

On a couple of my models I made ( hallways) on a test map ( guru version 26 ) were scaled down to 80% . They are now at 100% (maybe more) on the map but any new ones I place down on the same map are 80% like I originally set in the .fpe file .

Something changed with the scaling in version 28 ?

@Lance - from Lee's steam update:
Quote: " I spent some time in F9 mode to ensure entity scaling was uniform from the IDE, F9 and eventually through the light mapper. This functional correction has created a knock-on however in that any legacy level that used what is called an FPE SCALED entity will change the size of that entity when you load the level. You can use the widget to restore the scale, or replace with a new instance of the entity, but it’s a one-time deal and when you save the new level this issue will not reoccur"

No, Myke, they're not. They are some I got at 3dmodels-textures.com. They are from their modern city packs. Nice buildings!

For multitextured ones, make sure that there is not texture or shader call in the fpe file.

In assimp viewer, it will list the number of textures attached to the xfile you can run thru them if your not sure which ones it is.

For objects with scale values other then 100 in the fpe file then add this to the fpe file
resetlimbmatrix = 1
collisionscaling = 100
Clear dbo and bin files and re test and light map.

See if that takes care of the issues. This works for around 96% of objects tested.

What this does: collisionscaling = 100

is gives you the ability to scale up or down the collision radius around a specific object after scaling. Most times it can stay at 100, but if you an have the player cam clip an object then increase this value to stop that.

@All:
So if one still dont work, then please list it out so we can gather these and try and make them right.

Thanks

Has anyone else confirmed the zombies being broken besides me? I know smallg said he experienced the same thing. Many of them no longer attack you when in melee range, or their attacks go frame by frame (as you move) in slow motion. I also noticed many of them acting odd aside from that.

Am using the same resolution as I have done for all previous versions 1600x900. Not sure of font size. I am running Windows 8.1 x64, AMD Radeon HD 7570, 12GB. Same happens on 32bit Windows 8.1. Makes editing markers quite impossible. Please see video attached.
Not happy with this build. Bring back 1.00027.

[update] - actually after seeing post above it seems 1 file did not verify ok. I will re-acquire the file then see if all ok or not and report back here.
[update2] - problem still there after re-acquiring file and 100% verification of files done and all ok-please please please fix this issue. It was all fine on previous version regardless of resolution and specs of my machine.

I tested the zombies, but they act normal on my computer.

Hope that helps
edit.. but what i do notice, if you place more then 4 or five other animtions the framerate drops drammaticly.
And i do have a descent computer, with a gtx 960 card.

Going backwards would make no sense! Regardless of any issues with a new build, this thing is moving in a positive direction.

One word.....Buggy. And now some more words. New build is very choppy when editing terrain. Its so bad that I cant even make a mountain. Everything loads slow.
P.S I did not join in 2015. Ive been backing this project from day one. When I switched to steam it messed up my account....... Just so ya know

@JackalHead:
Editing terrain in F9 mode is choppy and hard to work with. It works much better in topdown or free flight mode.

What are your machine specs and what other issues are you seeing?
Thanks

What I noticed during the last builds: Entity mode in editor (Top Down) on huge levels full of props is running at 0.5 - 2 fps, almost not usable for working with. It must have to do something with the automatic height detection of entities, because when I want to place an entity, I have full FPS back as soon as I have manually changed the height by PageUp or PageDown.
