This is a screen shot of my steam downloads folder. I have uninstalled GG and reinstalled it back to (C) drive. I have been getting this message for a very long time now. It's getting on my nerves. I looked it up and deleted the appinfo file like the net suggested, that did work till Steam updated. It doesn't seem to affect GG. It's just a pain in my side. I've checked the integrity of the files. 3 times. no change. So, I am asking the community here, does anyone know how to fix it?

@mikeven, Thanks for the info. I have already tried these options. They work till Steam updates. Then it comes right back.

Hmm.. Looks like a Steam issue. Thanks for letting us know. If it's not affected GG, then it won't be a priority, but I'll see what I can discover.

Thank you. Steam couldn't give me a straight answer, that I have not already tried.

Had a quick look around, all reports suggest something to do with a Steam configuration corruption, nothing showing how an app developer can clear this. Does anyone else see this, if so, can you create an issue on the issues board and link here so others can post their findings. Thanks!

if it's steam issue, I personally would uninstall and reinstall steam

It did this on my old pc and when I put everything on my new pc, it came back. There is one other forum member that is getting this, that I know of. If I delete the appinfo.vdf it is gone. But then steam does a redistributable update and it comes back.

Let us know if you are still experiencing this issue. My recommendation if you still are, is to always check if Game Guru is running while you're trying to update it. By control, alt, delete, and end the "Game Guru" task and then attempt to update on steam.

yea I still have that. It does not seem to create any problems, just ticks my OCD. lol
