Hi there,

First off, I did see something similar like my post but that post is a few years old. Sorry, if this is already answered and no updates were made since then.

I want to have at least 10 levels in my game, but I want a cheap upgrade system without much, if any, manual scripting. I tried changing the player start marker's total health in the second level but nothing has happened. I want the character to gain +50 or +100 health per level. I have tried adding a trigger zone, and used that player start marker as the trigger but still, nothing is happening. Everything from level 1 is showing up in level 2 without any changes. I hope I was able to explain it clearly. Feel free to ask me any questions if something feels confusing.

And is it just me or the text zone does not seem to work? It always changes back to Hello World, no matter what I type in its properties.

Thanks for helping.

for the text zone issue, this is covered/answered here: https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/222024#msg2632881

variables that need carrying over to subsequent levels need to be saved and then read back in again.

As BOTR pointed above, you have to save your global vars in a plane file (txt, dat, etc) and read it when the next level starts. If you need some clue about, read the savegame/loadgame.lua scripts, it may give you useful info.

That sounds like something beyond my skills. Thank you both and sorry for wasting your time.
