Hi..

@ osiem80 Yes, I could not think of another name

@PCS I am glad to hear (read)

@ Wolf With the pack I catch only the mood in my environment (fun). Yes, you should be able to use it for a rather bleak game.

So, now I'm running out of juice slowly. I could still put a cauldron. Or ... I'm already thinking about modeling a walk-in butcher's shop with a slaughterhouse.

Here the basic cutlery is still clean

A few special tools where you can come up with stupid thoughts.

After work (whatever)

Lovely looking models, excellent work.

Almost like looking at a photograph on some of the foundry shots.

Well, I still want to finish the butcher shop, then it should be enough.

@ Gtox It was a major change for me to switch to pbr. It's also fun if the result is right, but it's also a very lengthy process.

@ cybernescence I'm glad to read. It is always my goal to make it as realistic as possible. Sometimes I manage that quite well, sometimes less.

@ Belidos I think I'm a long way from that. I am usually very hectic with my ideas. Then I have to write down everything so that I do not forget anything. I miss the structure, because I only do what I think about the topic right now.

Here is a first impression of the butcher shop

In this sense ... nice weekend

Hi...
The shop is actually ready. It lacks the lighting and 2 doors. When assembling always make sure that the glass comes last. Then you can at least look decently into business. Well, dynamic shadows would be nice too. They would give the whole thing a bit more reality. Nevertheless, it looks pretty good, I think. I'll do a little video when I'm done. I'm going to build a shop counter because of its completeness. Some pictures from the shop ....

and now?

A beer for me.

Yes please put the foundry in the store . Have a great place to put it in game (slightly re-purposed as an airship workshop).

You're really fast at doing quality work !

Cheers.

thank you guys
Yes, I will start slowly to make the foundry ready to load. This whole upload story takes longer than the modeling. I hope I can do it this week.

But now I have another problem with a door. I do not know how to explain it. I can open the door from one side, but not from the other. This concerns the door-script. I would like to use it already. I have not had that yet. Maybe it's the window glass. The door is slightly behind. I do not know right now. Maybe someone can help me there.

I think I have found a solution. The center of the door must be located in such a case probably best in the middle of the wall opening. I've tied it to the hinges now, which works so close. You have to come very close to the door for it to work. I can live with that.

Preliminary action

3 workers for the foundry, which will be available soon at the store. There is an animation list available. Everyone has to write the script themselves, or someone will find it. I can not, I'm sorry. People are thought of as NPC running around or talking.

I have now started a new topic. It goes in the direction of SciFi. I started with the platforms, created first plant domes and an animated generator, which I think should be changed in the color scheme. For the domes, unfortunately, I still have no solution to make subsequently used objects visible, although the glass dome is a separate object. That's why I have not thought about walkability yet.

Brilliant - looks (and sounds) like something out of Thunderbirds! How are you going to overcome the collision detection? I thought dynamic/animation objects HAD to have box collision?

Thanks to all!!

Yes, the collisions, I could not design them the way I wanted them. When the stage is up, the collisions are off. At the moment I do not have the peace to deal with it. There is still a second problem: the sound. The fuller the map, the slower the animation runs. The sound is not. Since then the synchrony is missing. The sound would somehow have to be dynamically linked to the animation. But I am afraid that this will not be easy. Frustration.

Hi...
Actually, I would have to retire for health reasons, but I can not help it, I always think of new things, I try here and there and distract me thus. The fact that I did not do the thing with the carlift as I wanted it annoyed me a little. Well, I now nibbled at other objects. I am already facing the next problem. I've built a gun turret to act as an opponent. He should turn around a bit, and if you come near, he should shoot what the stuff holds. There are scripts that work, but they are not what I want them to be. It's enough, for example, if I have shot the part, smoke should rise, so you see, the thing is broken. I just could not go there. Maybe there is someone who can help me with this. It's true, I can not understand how and why something works or not. That bothers me because I know what I want, but I can not put it into practice. And then there is the language barrier, oh yes .... But here are some pictures of my work ....

And who has endured so far, thank you for the patience ....

Once again, I'm looking for new ways for me to improve texturing. These are now almost always hand painted, the finished textures from the net I just want to use for special stuff. All textures I do with gimp. I have recently also 3d coat available, but I'm not really familiar with it yet. At the moment I am looking for the look of far cry2 or 3. I really like this style. Everything is so a bit dirty, rusty and worn. In my opinion the perfect backdrop for shooter games.

Oh oh, almost forgot ...

@ tdreisinger & osiem80
Thank you I am always looking for new ways to make something simple.
@ granada Uh ... that's because of my Alzheimer, because I just jump from one thing to the next. I just do not have much time to slowly change the subject.

oh, wolf ...
Glad if you like it well, I'm always at war with the whole texture thing. I'm just not up for it and I'm too stingy to spend a lot of money on special tools. I still use age old software and also gimp. You can do a lot with that ...

Since I let me hear something from me again. I made an old steam engine. That took a while, it's also animated. The object is very polygon-heavy and, above all, texture-devouring, so I decided to split the machine into 6 parts. The whole thing was done so that you can put it together in raster mode easily. I also mixed in a sound, sounds a bit ill but is probably not different by age ...

In principle, you can do anything if .... you master it. I do not know if I could handle it that smoothly. Then there's the thing with the collisions. By contrast, basing a robotic arm should not be so difficult. I'll take a look at it.

First of all thank you for your interest

I'm just working on robots. I put together a robotic arm in a hurry to see what that looks like in the editor. On the whole, I am satisfied with the interim result and have decided to continue the series. To try out I have here https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/220474?page=2 a model.
There is also a little video there.

@ cybernescence Thank you... I always wanted to have a steam engine ..... now it's time

I made a little bit of tinkering again and created a small fully automatic production set, which is of course fictitious. It consists of 4 animated modules and is coordinated with each other. I have to set it to music. And actually I wanted to attach a few decals. But I could not persuade her to move. So I did not do it.

As always, I am pleased about a comment. I do not know if I'm in the right lane.
