Welcome aboard! Just keep in mind, GG is a work in progress! It is missing a lot of features but pretty much everything you would want is in the pipeline. It will take at least a couple more years to see them all. It's a very small (but very friendly) team so please cut them a little slack! There, I just had to get that off my chest. Again, welcome!

I have seen some pretty decent games made in the engine despite Game Guru being 'bare bones' compared to other engines. Although it lacks a lot that many would consider 'basic' features, in terms of learning curve and community/dev support Game Guru rates pretty high in my opinion. I have messed around with a few game engines and it can be very daunting at times, but Game Guru offers a lot in terms 'ease' of use and comes stocked with tons of assets and scripts for a relatively cheap price (individual models on the Unity can cost you 10-100+ dollars!). The Forum community for Game Guru is one of the best I have seen in any forum and don't treat you like your some kind of idiot for asking questions or give you vague or complicated answers that just waste your time and make you feel stupid. I am not a programmer or a mathematician, so when people try explaining things to me like this "You need to change the parameter of the z-aligned value function and set the integer value to nil" I have no idea what they are talking about and it doesn't help me learn anything. I used Leadwerks for about 6 months (Advertised: "Leadwerks is the easiest way to make 3D games"-apparently) and I just gave up trying to make a game. I would ask frequent questions and would either be completely ignored or get answers that seemed like I needed a degree in computer science to even understand what they were talking about. So I am glad I found Game Guru because it really "is the easiest way to make 3D games".
