Verify your GG installation after every update.
This is important and could be the reason for editor, test mode or standalone game crashes.
I had 148 missing/corrupted files at the first check, 2nd check still 12 files missing, 3rd check was ok.

And voila, the new created standalone game was not crashing anymore and the ground texture was correct.
I've another standalone game, I'll test it tonight.... But I know already, that the textures from some buildings are missing (building pack, please fix that).

How to verify your GG installation:

Go to steam
Go to your software lib
Right click on the GG icon
Go to properties
Go to the 3rd tab
Click on verify installation (not 100% sure what's written there in English, as my steam language is German)
Now steam will check your installation and download missing files.
At the end click again one more time on verify, to be sure that everything is alright now.

Note: keep in mind, that the verify will replace your custom sounds, gfx and everything you edited and set it back to default. If you've edited the zombie sounds, after the verify they will be back to default. Same for custom background menu gfx, if you saved them in the default folder.

I've verified my install about 6/7 times and the "files to acquire" is always 7. A bit worrying considering we are relying on steam. :-(

Among them are ini files with only one line, such as to the one to suppress splash Screens on Startup.

I have seen this report in another thread. Any way I can see a short video of the whole episode? I get no files reported when I validate my fresh copy of GameGuru on Steam

my 2nd (older) game still crash after 7, 8 levels.
whatever the reason might be...
maybe too many objects in the levels.

Your report "my 2nd (older) game still crash after 7, 8 levels." are you saying that when you take one of your older FPM levels and make a new standalone executable, and then play that standalone game you get a crash when you play the first level 7 or 8 times, or is this a standalone game that has eight levels and when you get to level 8 it will crash? Thanks.

It's a standalone game with 15 levels.
You can find it in the WIP section (Zombie Nature, already an old thread).
After I've finished level 7 and the loading screen comes up, the game crashes at 3/4 of the loading screen. If I'm lucky the crash comes later after level 8 or 9. But always during the loading process.
If I run thru the levels without killing much enemies, the game crashes later (at level 8 or 9).

I've opened all levels again and saved them again under GG version 1.1
I've sent you (TGC) already the game during the beta phase, as requested. But no feedback so far.
Maybe I've used too many objects in the scenes that time (already an old project).

The game was nearly finished, until the gameplay test....

@MooKai : Yes I got your level but I made a change to the way standalone executables re-trigger when they start again so I would need a new build with the latest version of GameGuru. Can I also ask if you have a 32bit operating system or a 64bit one as this determines the available system memory your PC has to use and might be a factor.

Hi Lee

How do you verify GG on Steam. It does not appear in my Library.

Go to the steam Library app
right click on the GameGuru icon and choose properties.
3rd tab (local files)
Verify integrity of game cache... button

It will go thru the installed files and let you know how many failed, and then download them for you.

Lee, I will send you a new build tonight, when I'm at home.

PC Specs: Amiga 500, 1 MB Ram .... Oh wait...
i5 4690k, win8.1 64bit, 16gb ram, GTX 970 4gb should be powerful enough to run SW Battlefront
I think the problem/crash first occur after the update to 1.003 (July 2015).

Thanks.
