I do not understanding why now doesn't working the F1, F2, F3 or F4 ?!?
The model have the same scale in the fpe file as in the x file, so where is the problem ?!?
Photo no 1 - normal mode, photo no.2 - PRE-BAKE after using in test game the F2 function.

Let me go to that thread and get the file from the artist with the textures, and see what I find. This might indicate to many polygons for one object and I will check in a minute.

The stack needs to be collapsed, or all these objects need to be welded together.

Let me attack it in fragmotion and report back. the models seperate pieces went all over when I did a F4 lightmap.

ok, here you go for a workaround on this model.


In the above picture you can see the blue lines. they are bones objects, and there are a lot of them.
This model will need to be flattenen to use the entity_basic.fx shader. go into bone mode and choose remove all bone assignments and then pick the blue spheres and delete each one. Then re export it.

But what does work with light mapping is assignning this object with the character_basic shader and then doing you light mapping. F4 in my case pictured below.



Produces the correct response and takes just a few minutes to light map.

Hope that helps till you can get the model flattened out.

Dont bother trying to get rid of them in fragmotion, it did not work. I will have to crunch it in 3ds max and collapse it that way.

I have only fragMOTION program and know it just as beginner to work with...

I think is some effect (fx) conflict. For the moment I try to use one different .fx (and change in fpe file the "entity_basic.fx")

did any1 else notice that clip mode now works correctly? (tab to cut the buildings etc) you will no longer select items that are cut by the mode... so much better
life\'s one big game

Yes, Lee worked on it a bit, seems to react much better now for picking objects.

I have requested a button for light entities and zones only ...
When selected everything will be locked and you will easily be able to select lights and zones inside or outside.
Well that's the theory anyway
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

yes, i was only complaining but i have to say that picking / selecting an object works 100% better than before. f.e. when i have to delete several objects i usually picked a lot of wrong objects. this does not happen anymore.
