Product Chat / Are wizard character doing something or just stand?

I added to my game the three types of wizard character and they just stand and do nothing.

They are set up for third person character, and there script is AI_Neutral.lua

The script just makes them look in your direction.

If you want to use them as other characters for enemy, you will need to duplicate on of the FPE and bmp files and change the name.
Open the FPE file in notepad.exe and change isthirdperson = 0
You can try changing the weapon, but the wizard only has the staff animations in it, so may not exactly look right for some weapons.

Take note of the animation calls at the bottom of the file.
When done making the changes, save the file.

Now you will need an AI script that will do something for you. This will involve some coding and trial and error to get correct.

That should get you going.

the wizard doesnt have any AI script? this is because you can't make him fire the fireball i assume?

you can use Animer or FM (or any animation tool that exports to .X/DBO) to re-animate the wizard model so that they use either your own animations or from any enemy model in GG/FPSC. Animer also allows you to import BVH animation files.
