I remember that in previous releases was the function snap height . No longer exists? really ?
The software I use? ... Autocad, sketchup, Spazio3D, pconplanner, Kerkythea, wings3d, paint.net, torque3d, AxixGameFactory, PD particles.......maybe blender

Just tested it with some cave sections, from megapack2. pressed b twice to grid mode, and page up for the height.
it still works!

I'll test it , I seem to remember worked ok for me but will have a look now and get back to you.
[update]works fine on mine. see attached video. Same as Harry, I just pressed 'B' twice held down shift and placed the first object then page up (in grid mode). All I can think of is doing the usual file integrity check via Steam.

How many points does it jump up when you press page up, I just tried it in my GG and it jumped up but a set amount, the object in question was slightly taller.

the blocks/segments I used were 100x100x100, so I'm guessing it's by 100 pixels/points.

@Bored of the Rings Yes I was just trying out a section I was working on just now, the original was 200x200 with 130 height and the smaller version was height 100 and the one I created at 100 height snapped perfectly but the larger 130 height di not as shown in the image below.

I will have to watch this with my models in the future.

@Tazman: it sounds like the snap feature has been hard coded 100x100x100. GG would need to be updated so that each entity height is calculated prior to snapping. I guess this could be a request for the feature vote board.

That would be a very good idea as some of my older models and I am sure other artists older models do not adhere to this format.

I uninstalled and reinstalled GG , but the snap height does not work .... I asked for help by clicking on the green icon in the lower right .... but no one answers and I continue to have the snap height does not work

i dont know why but snap in heigh works only whit "block number" disabled ....maybe are keyboard settings Italian
